Scott County vs. George Rogers Clark (Girls)

Scott County coach Steve Helton started the following lineup: 5-8 Jr. Bailey Hawkins, 5-8 Fr. Peyton Riddle, 5-10 Fr. Sidney Southerland, 5-2 8th Grade Juliette Smith, and 5-5 So. Britney Ward.  George Rogers Clark coach Robbie Graham countered with 6-1 Sr. Sandra Skinner, 5-11 Jr. Sydney Anderson, 6-3 So. Elizabeth Hardiman, 5-3 Jr. Lauren Welsh, and 5-8 Sr. Paige Taylor.

George Rogers Clark defeated Scott County by a score of 69-55.  George Rogers Clark shot 44.3% from the field including four of 16 from the three point line.  The Lady Cardinals connected on 11 of 29 free throws, pulled down 49 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 18 Scott County turnovers.  Scott County shot 34.6% from the field including four of 18 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Cardinals connected on 15 of 24 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 13 George Rogers Clark turnovers.

Sandra Skinner led George Rogers Clark with 27 points and eight rebounds.  Paige Taylor added 14 points and nine rebounds.  Lauren Welsh chipped in with 10 points.  Elizabeth Hardiman recorded six points, 11 rebounds, and two blocked shots.

Juliette Smith led Scott County with 18 points and five rebounds.  5-7 8th Grade Maaliya Owens added 17 points including two three point baskets.  Britney Ward recorded seven points and six rebounds.
