Scott County coach Billy Hicks started the following lineup: 6-3 Sr. Tony Martini, 6-2 Jr. Hines Jones, 7-1 So. Raekwon Long, 6-1 Sr. Teddy Ware, and 6-2 Sr. Trent Gilbert. Madison Central coach Allen Feldhaus countered with 6-1 Sr. DeMarcus George, 6-2 Jr. Isaiah Johnson, 6-4 Jr. Sam Jones, 5-10 Jr. Kirkland Humphrey, and 6-2 So. Cameron Thomas.
Scott County raced out to a 26-12 first quarter lead on their way to a 79-55 victory over Madison Central. Scott County shot 51% from the field including eight of 18 from the three point line. The cardinals connected on 21 of 26 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 23 points off 19 Madison Central turnovers. Madison Central shot 32.15 from the field including two of 13 from beyond the arc. The Indians connected on 17 of 26 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 18 Scott County turnovers.
Trent Gilbert led Scott County with 30 points including four three point baskets and pulled down five rebounds. Raekwon Long added 10 points, seven rebounds, and four blocked shots. Teddy Ware recorded 10 points, five rebounds, four assists, and three steals. Hines Jones also recorded 10 points. Tony Martini added seven points, six rebounds, and four steals.
Cameron Thomas led Madison Central with 20 points, three assists, and four steals. Sam Jones and Kirkland Humphrey added 10 points each. DeMarcus George pulled down 13 rebounds.
