Lexington Catholic coach Scott True started the following lineup: 5-8 Jr. Rachel Blake, 5-9 Jr. Caroline Lynch, 5-10 Sr. Hannah Gadberry, 5-5 Jr. Bailey Browning, and 5-5 Sr. Suzanne Miller. Scott coach Rhonda Klette countered with 5-9 Sr. Belma Halilovic, 5-7 Sr. Briana Katanic, 5-10 Sr. Jill Buntin, 5-6 Sr. Kaitlin Buemi, and 5-8 8th grader Allyson Niece.
Scott outscored Lexington Catholic 17-8 in the second quarter on their way to a 57-53 victory. The score was tied three times and there were eight lead changes in the game. Scott shot 44.4% from the field including three of nine from the three point line. The Lady Eagles connected on 14 of 22 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 12 Lexington Catholic turnovers. Lexington Catholic shot 29.6% from the field including eight of 30 from beyond the arc. The Lady Knights connected on 13 of 17 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored nine points off 11 Scott turnovers.
Allyson Niece led Scott with 14 points, eight rebounds, seven assists, and two steals. 5-7 8th grader Alexis Stapleton added 10 points and four rebounds. Jill Buntin chipped in with 10 points.
Rachel Blake led Lexington Catholic with 20 points and five rebounds. Bailey Browning added 13 points including three three point baskets, six rebounds, five assists, and two steals. Suzanne Miller also scored 13 points including three three point baskets. Caroline Lynch pulled down seven rebounds.
