West Jessamine coach Damon Kelley started the following lineup: 6-3 Sr. Daulton Peters, 6-4 Jr. Brooks Ely, 6-5 Jr. Dalton Crouse, 6-0 Sr. Will Henderson, and 6-2 So. Siah Holifield.  Woodford County coach Scott Hundley countered with 6-2 Jr. Colton McCrady, 6-0 Sr. Samuel Souers, 6-2 Sr. Sawyer Scandore, 5-10 Sr. Grayson Graf, and 5-11 Sr. Eli Boggess.

Old school basketball at it’s best!!!  Two county schools playing before an energetic crowd and West Jessamine pulled out a 73-72 thriller over Woodford County.  West Jessamine led 59-48 late in the third quarter but Woodford County rallied and had a last second shot for the win fail as it was closely contested by the West Jessamine defender.  There were seven lead changes and seven ties in this game.  Woodford County led 35-33 at halftime but West Jessamine outscored the Yellow Jackets 26-16 in the third quarter to take a 59-51 lead after three quarters.  Every time West Jessamine would gain a little breathing room Woodford County would answer with a long range bomb to close the margin.

West Jessamine shot 53.7% from the field including seven of 15 from the three point line.  The Colts connected on eight of 12 from the free throw line, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 11 Woodford County turnovers.  Woodford County shot 47.5% from the field including 12 of 22 from beyond the arc.  The Yellow Jackets connected on four of eight free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 10 West Jessamine turnovers.

Daulton Peters led West Jessamine with 30 points including three three point baskets and seven rebounds.  Will Henderson added 25 points including two three point baskets and eight assists.  Dalton Crouse recorded 10 points and six rebounds.

Eli Boggess led a balanced Yellow Jacket attack with 15 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, four assists, and two steals.  Samuel Souers also scored 15 points on five three point baskets.  Colton McCrady added 14 points and 13 rebounds.  5-8 Jr. John Couch provided a spark off the bench with 12 points on four three point baskets.  Grayson Graf also reached double figures with 10 points.
