West Jessamine vs. Mercer County (Boys)

West Jessamine coach Damon Kelley started the following lineup: 6-4 Jr. Brooks Ely, 6-3 Sr. Daulton Peters, 6-5 Jr. Dalton Crouse, 5-10 Sr. Lane Brooks, and 6-0 Sr. Will Henderson.  Mercer County coach Brian Britt countered with 6-1 Sr. Louis Price, 6-0 Sr. Tommy Craig, 6-4 So. Will Hager, 6-0 8th grader Trevon Faulkner, and 6-1 Sr. Russell Sims.

West Jessamine defeated Mercer County by a score of 78-66. West Jessamine shot 47.5% from the field including seven of 18 from the three point line.  The Colts connected on 15 of 19 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 11 Mercer county turnovers.  Mercer County shot 42% from the field including eight of 24 from beyond the arc.  The Titans connected on 16 of 20 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored two points off three West Jessamine turnovers.

Will Henderson led West Jessamine with 23 points including three three point baskets, four rebounds, and six assists.  Daulton Peters added 22 points and nine rebounds.  Brooks Ely recorded 13 points, eight rebounds, and five assists.

Russell Sims led Mercer County with 29 points including six three point baskets and nine rebounds.  Will Hager added 16 points including 10 of 11 free throws.
