Paul Laurence Dunbar coach Sarah Bridenbaugh started the following lineup: 5-10 Jr. Nicole Armstrong, 5-6 Jr. Kristina Rosen, 6-2 Sr. Brooke Todd, 5-4 So. Ezzy Ighodaro, and 5-4 Sr. ShaKeema Jackson. Mercy Academy coach Keith Baisch countered with 6-0 Fr. Elizabeth Anderson, 5-8 So. Erin Muthler, 6-0 Jr. Malerie Martin, 5-3 So. Maria Schmitz, and 5-6 Jr. Hannah Bewley.
Dunbar held a 27-9 advantage in three point points in a 56-51 victory over Mercy. Dunbar shot 42.5% from the field including nine of 15 from the three point line. The Lady Bulldogs connected on only seven of 20 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored seven points off 16 Mercy turnovers. Mercy shot 30.1% from the field including three of 14 from beyond the arc. The Jaguars connected on 10 of 16 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored eight points off 21 Dunbar turnovers.
ShaKeema Jackson led Dunbar with 21 points including four three point baskets. Brooke Todd added 14 points, 16 rebounds, and eight blocked shots. Ezzy Ighodaro recorded eight points, nine rebounds, and four steals.
Malerie Martin led Mercy with 16 points, eight rebounds, and five steals. Elizabeth Anderson added 15 points, five rebounds, and four steals.
