44th District Tournament

Madison Southern coach Summer Simmons started the following lineup: 5-10 Sr. Sarah Smith, 5-9 Fr. Briana Lanham, 5-10 Sr. Hayden Westfall, 5-4 So. Kelley Freeman, and 5-6 So. Samantha Parms.  Model coach Ronald Preece countered with 5-8 Jr. Darrian Botts, 5-6 8th grade Kasi Schneid, 5-11 8th grade Emily Jackson, 5-5 8th grade Abby Vicars, and 5-7 So. Hayley Hunt.

Madison Southern defeated Model by a score of 63-43.  Madison Southern shot 32.8% from the field including four of 28 from the three point line.  The Eagles connected on 15 of 23 free throws, pulled down 48 rebounds, and scored 24 points off 27 Model turnovers.  Model shot 37% from the field including zero of six from beyond the arc.  The Patriots connected on nine of 16 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 20 Madison Southern turnovers.

Briana Lanham led Madison Southern with 29 points and nine rebounds.  Samantha Parms added 13 points, seven rebounds, and eight steals. 

Darrian Botts led model with 25 points and six rebounds.  Kasi Schneid added 10 points, eight rebounds, three assists, and seven steals.
