Lexington Christian Academy coach Brad Carter started the following lineup: 6-5 So. Matt Rose, 6-3 So. Benton Nighbert, 6-5 Jr. Michael Young, 5-9 So. Drew Schacht, and 5-10 Sr. Tyler Harville. Western Hills coach Steven Wooldridgre countered with 6-1 Sr. Will Davis, 5-11 Sr. Robby Fox, 6-0 Sr. Kevin Booth, 5-10 Sr. Justin Frost, and 5-10 Sr. Jordan White.
Lexington Christian Academy defeated Western Hills by a score of 83-73. LCA shot 52.7% from the field including eight of 19 from the free throw line. The Eagles connected on 17 of 23 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 19 Western Hills turnovers. Western Hills shot 51.9% from the field including seven of 15 from beyond the arc. The Wolverlines connected on 12 of 15 free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 17 LCA turnovers.
Matt Rose led LCA with 28 points. Rose was nine of 13 field goals including two of three from beyond the arc, and eight of 14 free throws. Tyler Harville added 23 points including five three point baskets and eight assists. 6-4 Sr. Jon Lannertone recorded 14 points on seven of eight field goals and pulled down six rebounds. Drew Schacht also dished out six assists.
Kevin Booth and 6-2 Jr. ZhaVaughn Reed led Western Hills with 12 points each. Will Davis and Jordan White each recorded 10 points. 6-3 Jr. Andrew Zing chipped in with eight points, four assists, and three steals. Justin Frost added six points and eight assists.
