Lafayette coach Mike Mendenhall III started the following lineup: 6-8 Sr. Nick Trisko, 6-4 Sr. Aaron Evans, 6-9 Jr. Jackson Davis, 6-2 Jr. Lance Blakely, and 6-3 Sr. Tranard Chester.  Paul Laurence Dunbar coach Scott Chalk countered with 6-5 Sr. Eric Trigg, 6-5 Sr. E.J. Floreal, 6-7 Sr. Taylor King, 5-10 Sr. Mike Smith, and 6-2 Sr. William Gary.

Paul Laurence Dunbar defeated Lafayette tonight by a score of 77-61 in an impressive victory at home.  Dunbar shot 50.8% from the field including one of five from the three point line.  The Bulldogs connected on 14 of 23 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 18 Lafayette turnovers.  Lafayette shot 41.7% from the field including three of 12 from beyond the arc.  The Generals connected on 18 of 28 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored eight points off seven Dunbar turnovers.  Charles Sweat-Washington and Tranard Chester fouled out for Lafayette while Jackson Davis’ minutes were limited due to foul woes.  Taylor King fouled out for Dunbar.

E.J. Floreal led Dunbar with 24 points and nine rebounds.  Floreal was 11 of 13 from the field and two of two from the free throw line.  Mike Smith added 18 points.  Eric Trigg recorded 13 points, seven rebounds, and four assists. 

Lance Blakely led Lafayette with 14 points.  6-6 Sr. Charles Sweat-Washington added 12 points and six rebounds.  Jackson Davis recorded 11 points and seven rebounds.  Tranard Chester and 5-9 Jr. Dequise Robinson scored 10 points each and Nick Trisko pulled down nine rebounds.
