Sayre coach Ted Hall started the following lineup: 6-3 Jr. Henry Wolf, 6-1 Jr. Martin Durmov, 6-3 So. Quinn Pergande, 5-9 Sr. Ben Davis, and 6-0 Jr. Justin Sanders.  Burgin coach Brian Kirk countered with 5-11 Jr. Nick Beckerson, 5-9 So. John Price, 6-5 Sr. Alex Beckerson, 5-3 Fr. Tommy Lopresto, and 5-9 Jr. Mason Myres.

Alex Beckerson hit a layup in the closing seconds of overtime to give Burgin a 43-41 victory over Sayre.  Sayre held a 38-33 with 1:47 left in regulation but Burgin rallied to tie the score and force overtime.  Burgin trailed 16-10 at halftime and only shot 7.14% from the field in the first half.  Burgin shot 38.1% from the field including two of 10 from the three point line.  The Bulldogs connected on nine of 13 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored nine points off nine Sayre turnovers.  Sayre shot 35% from the field including four of 13 from beyond the arc.  The Spartans connected on nine of 17 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 14 Burgin turnovers.

Alex Beckerson led Burgin with 23 points, 13 rebounds, and three blocked shots.  5-10 Fr. Dillon Coulter added eight points.

Justin Sanders led Sayre with 16 points including three three point baskets and eight rebounds.  Martin Durmov added 10 points.
