Paul L. Dunbar coach Sarah Bridenbaugh started the following lineup: 5-10 Sr. LaKeena Parks, 5-8 Sr. Lexus Edwards, 6-2 Jr. Brooke Todd, 5-4 Sr. Kierra Muhammad, and 5-4 Jr. Shakeema Jackson.  Lafayette coach Allison Denton countered with 6-0 Jr. Sarah Cooley, 5-11 So. Dee Givens, 6-4 So. Ashanti Thomas, 5-6 Jr. Megumi Nagahiro, and 5-6 Jr. Ken’yale Demus.

Dunbar defeated Lafayette by a score of 56-47.  Dunbar shot 40.4% from the field including three of 12 from the three point line.  The Lady Bulldogs connected on seven of 11 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 23 Lafayette turnovers.  Lafayette shot 48.7% from the field including three of six from beyond the arc.  The Lady Generals connected on six of 10 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored nine points off 11 Dunbar turnovers.

LaKeena Parks led Dunbar with 19 points.  Shakeema Jackson added 17 points, six assists, and three steals.

Sarah Cooley led Lafayette with 14 points and seven rebounds.  Ken’yale Demus added 10 points.  Dee Givens chipped in with nine points and six rebounds.  Ashanti Thomas recorded eight points, 10 rebounds, and three blocked shots.
