Scott County  vs.  Lincoln County (Girls)

Scott County coach Steve Helton started the following lineup: 5-8 Sr. Laura Szorenyi, 5-7 Jr. Danielle DeFoor, 6-0 Jr. Tereka Guyn, 5-7 8th grader Lauren Boehm, and 5-6 Jr. Audriana Christopher.  Lincoln County coach Cassandra McWhorter countered with 5-9 Sr. Kourtney Belcher, 5-8 Sr. Emily Fox, 6-0 Sr. Sydney Harris, 5-5 Jr. Rachel Spangler, and 5-6 Sr. Ciara Saylor.

Lincoln County outscored Scott County 271-17 in the second quarter on their way to an 85-78 victory.  Lincoln County shot 40.9% from the field including four of 18 from the three point line.  The Lady Patriots connected on 27 of 31 free throws, pulled down 48 rebounds, and scored nine points off six Scott County turnovers. Scott County shot 42.4% from the field including five of 19 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Cardinals connected on 17 of 32 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 12 Lincoln County turnovers.

Sydney Harris had a “monster” game for Lincoln County with 31 points including three three point baskets and pulled down 10 rebounds.  Harris was nine of 15 from the field including three of six from beyond the arc and 10 of 11 free throws.  Emily Fox added 14 points and seven rebounds.  Rachel Spangler recorded 14 points, seven rebounds, and five assists.  Kourtney Belcher also reached double figures with 10 points.

Audriana Christopher led Scott county with 30 points, four assists, and six steals.  Laura Szorenyi added 17 points and six rebounds.  Tereka Guyn recorded 16 points and 10 rebounds.
