Sacred Heart Academy coach Donna Moir started the following lineup: 5-7 Sr. Kristin Matula, 5-6 Jr. Raven Merriweather, 5-9 Jr. Dai Jia Ruffin, 5-3 So. Gretchen Samsel, and 5-7 Sr. Julia Stough.  Atherton coach Woodrow Murphy countered with 5-6 So. Jasmine Lewis, 5-4 Sr. Shelby O’Leary, 5-8 Sr. Sharon Walker, 5-5 So. Ruby Allgeier, and 5-6 Sr. Latascha Taylor.

Sacred Heart jumped out to a 39-7 halftime lead on their way to a 65-23 victory over Atherton.  Eleven players saw action for Sacred Heart and all entered the scoring column.  The starters playing time ranged from 15:30 to 20:58 minutes.  Sacred Heart shot 58.3% from the field including three of nine from the three point line.  The Valkyries connected on six of 10 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 37 points off 31 Atherton turnovers.  Atherton shot 34.6% from the field including one of two from beyond the arc.  The Lady Rebels connected on four of eight free throws, pulled down 14 rebounds, and scored seven points off 16 Sacred Heart turnovers.

Raven Merriweather led Sacred Heart with 16 points and three steals.  Dai Jia Ruffin added 12 points, seven rebounds, and six assists.

Sharon Walker led Atherton with 11 points.
