Whitefield Academy coach Chad Carr started the following lineup: 6-0 Sr. Luke Stoltz, 5-10 Fr. Chip Adkisson, 6-2 Jr. Aaron Johnson, 5-9 Sr. Michael Hildreth, and 5-8 Sr. Ben Pumpelly.  Sayre coach Ted Hall countered with 6-2 Sr. Phillip O’Rourke, 6-1 Sr. Reid Freeman, 6-6 Jr. Ray Brewer, 6-0 Jr. Duncan Courtney, and 6-0 So. Justin Sanders.

Sayre defeated Whitefield Academy by  a score of 46-44.  Sayre shot 42.5% from the field including three of 16 from the free throw line.  The Spartans connected on nine of 17 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored seven points off 16 Whitefield Academy turnovers.  Whitefield Academy shot 43.3% from the field including four of 12 from beyond the arc.  The Wildcats connected on 14 of 19 free throws, pulled down 22 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 16 Sayre turnovers.

Reid Freeman led Sayre with 14 points including two three point baskets.  Ray Brewer added 12 points, nine rebounds, and three blocked shots.

Ben Pumpelly led Whitefield Academy with 18 points including two three point baskets.  Pumpelly was four of seven from the field including two of two from the three point line and eight of eight from the free throw line. Michael Hildreth and Aaron Johnson added nine and eight points respectively.  Johnson was four of four from the field.
