Ashland Blazer coach Bill Bradley started the following lineup: 5-8 Fr. Alexis Robinson, 5-8 Sr. Mykal Farris, 5-11 Sr. Julia Heaberlin, 5-6 Jr. Kaylyn Gambill, and 5-7 Jr. Sydney Cullop. Madison Central coach Robert Cooksey countered with 6-2 Jr. Ashton Feldhaus, 5-9 Jr. Heather Hinkle, 5-10 Sr. Kristen Congleton, 5-5 Jr. Larryn Brooks, and 5-6 Sr. Ashley Hinkle.
Madison Central led 35-34 after three quarters and pulled away in the final quarter for a 54-47 victory. Madison Central shot 36.7% from the field including two of 16 from the three point line. The Lady Indians connected on 16 of 21 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 20 Ashland Blazer turnovers. Ashland Blazer shot 32.1% from the field including eight of 27 from beyond the arc. They connected on five of eight free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored seven points off 14 Madison Central turnovers.
Larryn Brooks led Madison Central with 29 points, seven rebounds, and seven steals. Brooks was nine of 12 from the field including one of two from the three point line, and 10 of 11 from the free throw line. Kristen Congleton added 14 points and seven rebounds.
Kaylyn Gambill led Ashland Blazer with 15 points including four three point baskets. 5-8 Jr. Allie Slone added eight points and Mykal Farris chipped in with seven points and five rebounds. 5-10 Fr. Haley Sue Foutch pulled down seven rebounds.
