Mercy Academy coach Mark Evans started the following lineup: 5-10 Sr. Christine Roush, 5-9 Jr. Victoria Dircksen, 5-11 Sr. Courtney Roush, 5-8 Jr. Whitney Hartlage, and 5-7 Jr. Kayla Richardson.  Sacred Heart coach Donna Moir countered with 5-9 So. DaiJia Ruffin, 5-6 So. Raven Merriweather, 6-1 Sr. Jazmin Smith, 5-7 Jr. Kristin Matula, and 5-7 Sr. Jade Tubb.

Sacred Heart led 46-44 after three quarters but Mercy rallied to earn a 62-57 victory.  There were 10 lead changes and nine ties in this game.  Mercy shot 47.9% from the field including zero of eight from the three point line.  The Jaguars connected on 16 of 24 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 22 Sacred Heart turnovers.  Sacred Heart shot 36.4% from the field including six of 16 from beyond the arc.  The Valkyries connected on 11 of 17 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 18 Mercy turnovers.

Courtney Roush led Mercy with 23 points.  Roush was  10 of 13 from the field including zero of one from the three point line, and three of four from the free throw line.  Christine Roush added 15 points, 11 rebounds, three assists, and four steals.  Victoria Dircksen chipped in with 11 points and five rebounds.

DaiJia Ruffin led Sacred Heart with 18 points, 13 rebounds, and four assists.  5-5 Sr. Erica Walsh also scored 18 points including four three point baskets.  Jade Tubb also reached double figures with 11 points.  Jazmin Smith recorded four points, six rebounds, and five blocked shots.
