Western Hills coach Steve Wooldridge started the following lineup: 6-5 Sr. Logan Curry, 6-1 Sr. Ryan Barrass, 6-5 Sr. Grant Hughes, 5-11 Jr. Kevin Booth, and 5-10 Sr. Jordan Kendall. Woodford County coach Scott Hundley countered with 6-4 Sr. David Greenwell, 6-1 Sr. Rodney Gross, 6-4 Sr. Addison Hollin, 5-10 So. Eli Boggess, and 6-2 Sr. William Starcher.
Woodford County scored 27 points off 16 Western Hills turnovers in a 65-52 victory. The score was tied 35-35 at halftime but the Yellowjackets pulled away in the second half for the victory. Woodford County shot 39.6% from the field including six of 22 from the three point line. The Yellowjackets connected on 17 of 21 free throws and pulled down 26 rebounds. Western Hills shot 38.3% from the field including six of 16 from beyond the arc. The Wolverines connected on 10 of 18 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored eight points off six Woodford County turnovers.
William Starcher led Woodford County with 18 points including four three point baskets, five rebounds, five assists, and three steals. David Greenwell added 16 points and six rebounds. Rodney Gross chipped in with 15 points.
Ryan Barrass led Western hills with 19 points and five rebounds. Kevin Booth added 14 points including four three point baskets and seven rebounds. Grant Hughes chipped in with 11 points and nine rebounds.
