Woodford County coach Jay Lucas started the following lineup: 5-11 Sr. Catie Fletcher, 5-11 Jr. Hannah Morgan, 6-1 Jr. Jessica Morgan, 5-5 So. Shelby McDonald, and 5-9 Fr. Chelsey Ford.  Lafayette coach Allison Denton countered with 5-7 Sr. Emily Justice, 5-7 Sr. Aleisha Stiltner, 5-11 So. Sarah Cooley, 5-5 Sr. Sarah Martin, and 5-6 So. Ken’yale Demus.

Lafayette led Woodford County 34-23 in the third quarter but had to withstand a furious rally to earn a 49-48 victory.  Lafayette shot 38.5% from the field including four of 13 from the three point line.  The Lady Generals connected on five of nine free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 11 Woodford County turnovers.  Woodford County shot 34.5% from the field including four of 25 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Yellowjackets connected on four of five free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored seven points off nine Lafayette turnovers.

Sarah Cooley led Lafayette with 17 points and 10 rebounds.  Ken’yale Demus added 14 points including two three point baskets.

Chelsey Ford led Woodford County with 15 points and seven rebounds.  Catie Fletcher added 14 points including two three point baskets.  Jessica Morgan recorded 10 points, 12 rebounds, and six blocked shots.  Shelby McDonald dished out nine assists.
