Madison Central defeated Paul L. Dunbar by a score of 47-23 to improve their record to 2-3 for the season. Paul L. Dunbar falls to 0-5 for the season. Madison Central recorded 22 first downs and 504 yards of total offense. The Indians were penalized 11 times for 90 yards and lost three fumbles. Paul L. Dunbar recorded 15 first downs, lost a fumble, and had two passes intercepted.
Dominique Hawkins led Madison Central’s ground game with 196 yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries. Jamez Chenault carried the ball 16 times for 50 yards and two touchdowns. Hunter Stocker completed 11 of 18 passes for 192 yards and a touchdown. Kevin Segar caught three passes for 58 yards. Daniel Foster caught two passes for 21 yards. Thomas Crump caught a 28 yard scoring pass. Dre Goggins led the defense with six solo and one assisted tackles. Wallace Reams added four solo and two assisted tackles. Daniel Foster recorded four solo and one assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totalling 16 yards.
John Rose led Dunbar’s ground attack with 74 yards on six carries. Isaih Olige carried the ball seven times for 53 yards. Blake Martin completed 10 of 33 passes for 125 yards and one touchdown with two interceptions. Emory Thompson caught three passes for 37 yards. Cam Pergram added two receptions for 35 yards. Brandyn Duncan caught two passes for 26 yards and a touchdown. Raheem Wright led the defense with three solo and 12 assisted tackles. Dan Mulert and Isaih Olige each recorded three solo and four assisted tackles. Elijah Olige added five solo tackles. Jonathan Brown recovered two fumbles.
