Paul Dunbar coach Amy Tilley started the following lineup: 5-9 Jr. Morgan McEldowney, 5-10 So. Lakeena Parks, 6-2 Fr. Brooke Todd, 5-2 So. Kierra Muhammad, and 5-4 Sr. Christin Haney.  Lexington Catholic coach Chelsea Chowning countered with 5-10 Jr. Emily Johns, 5-8 So. Octavia Wilson, 6-0 Jr. Elizabeth Walton, 5-4 So. Sarah Cawood, and 5-7 Jr. Bonnie Rhule. Note: 6-0 Jr. Alex Botkin was not available for tonight’s game.

Lexington Catholic held a 16-4 advantage in the first quarter but had to survive a late rally by Paul Dunbar to claim a 47-43 victory.  Elizabeth Walton hit two late free throws to ensure the victory.  Lexington Catholic shot 32.6% from the field including one of 12 from the three point line.  The Lady Knights connected on 16 of 22 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 14 Paul Dunbar turnovers.  Paul Dunbar shot 32.6% from the field including six of 18 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Bulldogs connected on nine of 10 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 10 points off nine Lexington Catholic turnovers.

Octavia Wilson led Lexington Catholic with 16 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and three steals.  Elizabeth Walton added 10 points, five rebounds, and four blocked shots. Emily Johns chipped in with seven points and nine rebounds.

Christin Haney led Paul Dunbar with 17 points including five three point baskets.  Kierra Muhammad added 10 points, seven rebounds, and two steals.  Morgan McEldowney chipped in with eight points and five rebounds.
