Touchstone Energy All A Classic 11th Region Championship

Lexington Christian Academy coach Jason Seamands started the following lineup: 5-11 Sr. Kelli Rinehart, 5-8 Fr. Katelin Bundy, 6-1 Jr. Kristen Jacob, 5-5 Sr. Rachel Cox, and 5-4 Jr. Kelli Mitchuson.  Sayre coach Scott Sutton countered with 6-0 Jr. Maddie Mitchell, 5-10 Sr. Bea Cameron, 6-1 8th grader Gabby Bowie, 5-7 Jr. Emily Culbertson, and 5-5 Jr. Sophie O’Rourke.

Lexington Christian Academy defeated Sayre by a score of 51-46.  LCA shot 36.5% from the field including two of 12 from the three point line.  The Lady Eagles connected on 11 of 18 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 31 Sayre turnovers.  Sayre shot 45.9% from the field including five of 15 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Spartans connected on seven of nine free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 21 LCA turnovers.

Kristen Jacob led LCA with 19 points and 13 rebounds.  Rachel Cox added 11 points.

Sophie O’Rourke led Sayre with 16 points including three three point baskets.  Maddie Mitchell added 13 points and six rebounds.  Bea Cameron recorded 11 points, eight rebounds, six assists, and four steals.  Gabby Bowie chipped in with six points, seven rebounds, and seven blocked shots.
