East Jessamine (3-10) at Lexington Catholic (9-4) 

East Jessamine coach Paul Rohr started the following lineup:  5-11 Sr. Sophia Ciric, 6-0 So. Ruth Byrd, 6-1 So. Laurin Duke, 5-7 Sr. Jennifer Peel, and 5-2 So. Latoya Richardson.  Lexington Catholic coach Greg Todd countered with 6-0 Sr. Chelsea Chowning, 6-0 Fr. Anaris Sickles, 6-1 So. Shannon Novosel, 5-8 Jr. Megan Mendenhall, and 5-11 Sr. Sarah Schell.

Lexington Catholic raced out to a 54-20 halftime lead on their way to a 94-54 victory.  East Jessamine was without the services of 5-5 Sr. Erica Stegner, who averaged 22 ppg last season but recently suffered an ACL injury.  Lexington Catholic scored 34 points on 38 East Jessamine turnovers and held a 57-40 edge in rebounding.  The victors were led by Shannon Novosel with 26 points, 11 rebounds and three blocked shots.  Chelsea Chowning had a full stat line with 12 points, eight rebounds, six assists, and nine steals.  Anaris Sickles added 11 points and seven rebounds, while Megan Mendenhall and Lesley Server added 10 points each.  East Jessamine was led by Sophia Ciric with 25 points, nine rebounds, and five steals.  Ruth Byrd added 10 points.  Laurin Duke scored only two points but she had eight rebounds and six blocked shots.
