Conclusion

Congratulations to all the teams and players who participated in this event.  This report is meant to be a representative sampling, and names and stats for the event were hurriedly gathered as I moved from court to court.  I apologize for missed games and/or inaccuracies copying from the scorebooks but the numbers should be close.  The Cincinnati Legends finished 5-0 in the 10 and under division with their narrowest victory margin being 17 points.  The Central Kentucky Angels finished 2-2 in pool play in the 11 and under division but bested both teams that had defeated them in pool play to gain the championship.  The Central Kentucky Angels romped through the 12 and under division to claim the championship with and average victory margin of 39 points.  The Central Kentucky Angels won the 13 and under division and had to defeat a very good Northern Kentucky Gold team for the championship.

There were several girls in this tourney that should have a bright future at the high school level.  The Angels were balanced at all divisions with several players capable of future stardom.  The Northern Kentucky Gold squad got an excellent game in the 11 and under championship as Abby Watson scored 30 points to keep her team in contention.  Tamara Sneed also had an excellent tourney for the Northern Kentucky Gold squad in the 13 and under division
