Don't know any? That's O.K. Many servers offer publisher programs where you don't need any or you can get a publisher. I Recommend Angelfire's homepage editor, AOL Press, or Netscape Composer. If you wanna learn some try using search engines such as www.yahoo.com and type in html or html help and you can read some f.a.q.'s on it, and take virtual html classes. I also offer some html help.

-GRAPHICS-

Avoid Big Pixellated Graphics. They look bad, and cause a very slow load time on your page. Big Graphics junk up your site, and make it look really tacky. Each site should have their own different font on graphics. Text on your page doesn't matter cause really the only one you can have is Arial, others may not be on other people's puters and they see Arial anyway. Here at Planet Matchbox the font used is called "Kids," and looks like Comic Sans, MS but different. A graphic program is a must! I use Corel Draw version 8, and highly recommend it, but it's really expensive. You can find some trial versions of graphics programs online. Other excellent graphic programs I recommend are Paint Shop Pro, Printmaster Gold, and even the plain old Paint Program already on your computer. Also their are many sites online that will make your graphics for you, or even some that you can make. My friend Joe at Matchstick Heaven has a banner making service. -COLORS-

O.K. as everybody knows MB20's color are black and red. Your site doesn't have to have the red and black theme it's not a rule. These colors are overused majorly. Even though it looks cool, your main goal is to provide web surfers with an original and unique page to visit, otherwise they won't go to it. We use plain old black and white. Also you don't want to have a color scheme that is hard to read or majorly hurts the eyes. You may also want to stick with a plain color background, because text it sometimes hard to read on a picture background.

-SERVERS-

There are tons of free WebServers out there. We're on Angelfire. You can go to a search engine and type in "free web page servers/providers" and find one that is suitable for you. Take in mind load speed, space, popup adds, and other adds.

-UPDATING-

If you don't feel like updating, don't have a page! Cause once you start a MB20 Page you can't stop updating. It becomes an addiction almost. If you haven't updating since 1506 people won't come back to your page. I update daily. And when you update be sure to put it on your main page so people see what you have updated and they will go look at your changes.

-LOAD TIME-

If your page takes to long to load people will exit out of it.

-STEALING/ORIGINALITY-

Webmasters hate stealing! Plus it's sorta illegal, and we kinda know if you steal something of ours, and we hate that, after all we put a lot of time into our webpage! Also, their is a lot of lack of originality on MB20 pages. So, You have great graphics, and great html, but you have the same content as some sucky ass page what's up w/ that. You see a lot of the same thing over, and over again. With the distance here I try to be as original as possible. If your site is the same as everyone else's they won't visit it often.

-JUNKED UP-

Don't junk your site up!! It causes a very long load time, and makes your page look really tacky! Put banners on a separate page. Don't junk your page up w/ advertisement too. And be careful on which CDnow & Music Blvd. banners you choose.

-NAMES-

O.K. I think every Matchbox 20 lyric has been used up now. That's kinda why I switched names, that and mine was way to long. But think up something original. please!!!!!

-BE NICE-

MB20 Webmasters have certain clicks, basically if you mess with somebody in that click their all gonna here about it and think less of you so be nice! When your first starting out don't ruin your reputation, if a webmaster is a bitch to you keep it to yourself, and when you hit "mainstream" and have a kick ass page, just remember how they treated you.
