Once upon a time
In a very real town
Lived a local college
That was run by a clown.
His act was very funny
But not at all humorous.
He was very short . . . on morals;
His dirty deeds were numerous.
At the expense of the town's subjects,
The clown lived as if a king.
While other tills paid all his bills,
He wanted for not a thing.
Real talented employees were fired
So both the clown's friends could get on the dole.
Free speech vanished and a student was banished;
The clown's act(ion) was not very droll.
A public college in a very real town
Was declared the private property of the jester.
The subjects stood idly by, and wondered why
Their best days would ever be yester.
