2 Corinthians 11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

The tradition of Satan appearing as something ugly is rooted in paganism, not the Scriptures.

Since the Scriptures say that “all thy commandments are righteousness” (Psalm 119:172), 2Corinthians 11:15 reveals that Satan's ministers use the scriptures as truth, because “all thy commandments are truth” (Psalm 119:151).

2 Corinthians 11:15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

But what most people don't realize is that another savior, with a very similar name to the Biblical Messiah, was substituted in the real Savior's place.

KJV 2 Corinthians 11:4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus*, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another evangel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.
