Entry Fees
The
entry fee is $15 per team. The entry fees will be used for the draft expenses
and plaques for regular season and playoff champions.
League Web
Page
The
league web page can be accessed by going to www.angelfire.com/ky/mindel/.
Rosters
Rosters
will be filled at the league draft. Each team will be made up of 18 players. Each roster includes two additional spots
reserved for players who are on the disabled list. By disabling a player who is
on the disabled list, you can replace him on the regular roster with a free
agent. Once a player comes off the disabled list, he must be returned to the
regular roster. Rosters will be filled at the league draft.
Protected
Players
Each
season, returning league members will vote to protect 0, 1, or 2 players from
their previous season roster. The vote
is held at the beginning of the draft. If the vote is tied between
returning teams, the lowest number involved in the tie will be used. If the
returning players vote to protect 1 or 2 players, each returning team will have
the option to choose that number of players from their previous year’s roster
to protect. Each returning team does not have to protect players. If a team
decides not to protect a player or players from their roster, they will enter
an auxiliary round(s) held at the beginning of the draft between teams that did
not protect a player. The order of each auxiliary round selection will be
determined randomly. If the returning league members vote to protect 2 players,
any team may protect one player and select their second player in an auxiliary
round.
Draft
The
draft order will be determined in one of two ways. If no one is protected, the
draft order will be determined randomly. If the returning members elect to
protect players, the draft order will be determined by the following method.
The first group of picks will go to the returning teams who did not make the
playoffs in the previous year The team with the worst record will receive the
first pick, the team with the best record will receive the last pick. The next
group of picks will be randomly awarded to new members to the league. The final
group of picks will go the teams who made the playoffs from the previous year.
The order will be determined by regular season record from the previous year.
The team with the worst record will receive the first pick; the team with the
best record will receive the last pick. The playoff champion from the previous
year will receive the last pick, no matter what record they had in the previous
regular season. The order of picks will reverse in each even numbered round of
the draft.
Regular Season
The
league consists of 12 teams divided equally into 3 divisions, the
Red Division, the White Division, and the Blue Division.
Divisions
are determined by the following method:
1)
Teams in draft positions 1, 4, 7, and 10 make up the Red
Division.
2)
Teams in draft positions 2, 5, 8, and 11 make up the White
Division.
3) Teams in draft positions 3, 6, 9, and
12 make up the Blue Division.
Each
team will play a 22 game double round robin schedule during the regular season.
Each game lasts from Monday to Sunday. In the event the season begins before
the first Monday of the Major League regular schedule, the games played before
Monday count during the first week. In addition, the All Star game in July does
not count in our regular season.
Positions
Each
team fields ten players each week. The positions consist of a first baseman, a
second baseman, a third baseman, a short stop, a catcher, 4 outfielders, and a
designated hitter. To be eligible at a position, a player must have played 20
games at that position in the previous season or five games at that position
during the current season. All players are eligible to be designated hitters.
Lineups
Lineup
changes can be made up to 1:00 PM each Monday for the week of games. You can,
however, contact the commissioner to change your lineup after this time under
these criteria:
The player being reserved first
scheduled game time for the week has not started and the player being activated
first scheduled game time for the week has not started.

Roster Moves
Roster
moves can be made in two ways:
1. Pickups: Each team may request to
pickup free agents throughout each week until Sunday evening at 6 PM. At that
time, pickups are processed according to league standings. The team with the
worst record has all of his moves processed first. The process is repeated
until the team with the best record has all of his moves processed last.
Contingency moves may be made in the event a free agent is no longer available
when your moves are processed. When more than 1 team has the same record, total
points accumulated so far during the season is used to determine pickup order.
If teams have the same record as well as the same amount of total points
accumulated for the season, pickup order is determined randomly by TQ Stats. Once a player is picked up, he is
eligible to be used during the following week after the pickup. Free agents may
not be picked up until the end of the first week of the season. Pickup order
for the end of week 1 is based on total points for each team after the Saturday
night of the first week of the season. Pickups maybe made at the start of the
playoffs but not after the playoffs begin. No team may have more than 18
players on their regular roster at
any time.
Instructions
on how to pickup players using the TQ Stats free agent system are as follows:

If
you want to make contingent picks, (i.e. If you do not receive player A, then
you would add Player B instead, and so on), select a second player and choose
the same player to drop. You can use as many contingent picks as you want. The
program will stop as soon as you are awarded the first person you select for
each slot.
You
can change your contingency order for each slot by selecting "Change Move
Priority" from the "Free Agent Bidding" screen.
You
can delete your free agent bids by selecting "Delete Moves" from the
"Free Agent Bidding Screen".
Remember,
your roster can not exceed more than 18 players. You can release players in one
of two ways.

Once you sign on, select "Make Transaction".
Change the player you want to drop status from reserve or active to release.

released from this screen. The program will automatically release these players
as you pick up free agents. You can also change the order of these selections
by selecting "Change Waive/Release Priority" from the "Free
Agent Bidding" screen. You can delete these selections by selecting
"Delete Contingent Releases/Waives" from the "Free Agent
Bidding" screen.
2. Trades: Teams may make trades between
the start of the draft and the end of week 17 of the regular season. The end of
each week is at 11:59 PM Sunday night. All trades take effect at the start of
the following week after the trade is made. Trades may only involve players or
future draft picks. No conditional trades are allowed. Once a player is traded from a roster, the traded player may not
be traded back to the original roster
for a period of 12 months. The player may, however, be claimed as a free agent
or drafted in the following draft. No
team may have more than 18 players on their roster at any time.
Playoffs
Eight
teams reach the playoffs. In the Quarterfinals, Game 1 will be Seed 1 vs. Seed
8. Game 2 will be Seed 2 vs. Seed 7. Game 3 will be Seed 3 vs. Seed 6. Game 4
will be Seed 4 vs. Seed 5. Division champions get the first two seeds. The
division champion with he best record receives Seed 1; the division champion
with the second best record will receive Seed 2; the division champion with the
third best record will receive Seed 3. Seeds 4 to 8 will be awarded to the 5
teams among the remaining nine teams in the league with the best records. In
the event of a tie, see the procedures on a tie-breaker listed below. The winners of each quarterfinal game
will advance to the semifinals. The winner between Seeds 1 & 8 will play
the winner between Seeds 4 & 5. The winner between Seeds 2 & 7 will
play the winner between Seeds 3 & 6. The winners of each semifinal game
will meet the following week to decide which team is the grand master of
Fantasy Baseball!
Tie Breakers
If
more than one team is tied for a playoff seed or draft position, the higher
seed or draft position will be awarded to the team who won head-to-head games
between the tied teams during the regular season. If head-to-head records can
not break a tiebreaker, the higher seed or draft position will be awarded to
the team with the most points scored head-to-head between the tied teams during
the regular season.
Awards
Each
division champion will receive a trophy. The playoff champion will also receive
a trophy. Each week the active player with the most points will receive the
player of the week award. The final week of the major league season is our
all-star game. The commissioner chooses the all stars based on total points
throughout the season. Each league team will have at least one all-star
representative. The player with the most points throughout the season from each
division will receive the MVP award.
Winter
Meetings
Each
year, the commissioner will hold an electronic winter meeting by e-mail from
January 1 to February 15. Each league member will receive e-mails concerning
information and updates to our league. If a league member does not respond to
topics discussed during the meeting, the commissioner will assume the member
has no comment regarding that issue. The commissioner encourages all league
members to make suggestions throughout the entire year.
