Within the State of Kentucky there are 14 Districts and Magoffin Co. is in District 9 along with 9 other neighboring counties. Below is a map of the counties that make up District 9.

Kentucky Division of Emergency Management

The Salyersville/Magoffin County D.E.S. is the coordinating agency between Rescue Service, Fire Service, Law Enforcement, Ambulance Service and other state and local emergency agencies and the chief executives of the local government during times of natural and man made emergency situations.
