STANDARD

Origin: Cadiz,Spain. General Appearance: Medium sized pigeon,upright,very soft feathers,its plumage is soft and spongy. Length between 25-30 cm's. Its weight varies between 200-300 grammes. It is a temperamental pigeon,gentle,conqueror and flighty (please note the word conqueror is used to describe the birds ability to subdue and woo the opposite sex). Head: Slightly fleshy,elliptical and narrow. Eyes: The colour varies between blue and red to dark.It is surrounded by a thin cere. Beak: Medium,short and thin.The wattles are medium sized and are triangular.There may be signs of wattles around the lower jaw. Crop: It should be rounded,forming a balloon with the neck,but always allowing the head of the pigeon to be seen from the front. Breast: It should be wide,covering the shoulders. Back: It should be even,slightly flat and finish in a very feathery rump. Wings: These should be large,made from wide feathers, reaching to the end of the tail,always without crossing over or on top of the tail. It is very desirable that it possesses eleven flight feathers. Tail: Short size and a little more than two fingers in width. During flight it is almost straight. Feet: It stands on thin,red,even and featherless feet. Colour: Any colour is accepted,including pied in each colour. Defects: Very high or low crop,too small or large in volume,a narrow breast,very thin face,short legs,hanging or very large wings, excessive size of bird. Ring Size: "B" Table of points:
