Lionheads at KTJ's Rabbitry

After a long wait we finally have Lionheads. I want to thank Martha Brown, Devie D'Anniballe, and Pridelands Rabbitry for selling us some really Awesome starter stock. We have both Purebreds and Hybreds. Our Purebreds come from both English and Swedish backgrounds. We can only assume the English ones are purebred as they did not come with pedigrees. Colors we can currently produce include: Black, Blue, Sable, Smoke Pearl, Tort, Fawn, Brokens, Sablepoint, Himmi, BEW, Harlequin, otters, martens, and a few others. I soon hope to have Lionhead Lops, and we are developing a line of Velvet Lions here too. Here are pics of what we have. Some of the adults that are single manes look like they have little or no manes. Actually the does have been pulling manes when nesting, and if we leave them together to long for breeding or siblings living together, they are giving each other hair cuts. Gotta love 'em! Black Teddy Buck- LH3 For Sale

This is a Black Single Mane Hybred buck who is what they call a Teddy Bear. Since this is the first Teddies I have produced or had here, I believe they are Lions with the wool gene. It is hard to say, so if anyone knows, let me know. Genetically since mom is a Dwarf and dad is a double mane, he does have 1 mane gene. Chocolate Point Single Mane Doe- LH10

This is Sissy. The best we can figure she is a chocolate point. She is out of a Siamese Sable Dwarf doe, and a Double mane purebred sable buck. I look forward to breeding her, as her littermate is a smoke pearl, and I hope to get some chocolates and lilacs out of her.
