"Der er et yndigt land" (There Is A Lovely Land)

Words by: Adam Gottlob Oehlenschlager
Music by: Hans Ernst Kr?yer
Adopted: 1844

"Derer et yndigt land" was first performed for a large gathering of Danes in 1844, and became popular quickly with the Danish people. It was adopted later that year by the Danish government as a national anthem, but not the sole national anthem. This anthem is on equal status with "Kong Christian",which is both the national and royal anthem.

When the Danish anthem is usually performed or sung, the first verse is played in its entirety, then it is followed by the last four lines of the last verse. (This is true whether the lyrics are sung or not

Could America, Really Be The Lost Tribe of Israel?
Everyone knows it is an article of Faith in some regions that America is in the grip and controlled by the Worldwide Zionist Conspiracy.

Just ask any member of al-Qaeda, citizen of France, bureaucrat of the UN, or EU functionary.

They will explain how the Zionists are in control of Bush, Cheney, the Pentagon and that if it were
not for that, America would heed the advice of
more "Lucide et Sophistique" European Intellects, abandon its foolish support of Israel and usher in an era of World Peace.

Usually the story is about sinister machinations in the Halls of Power and the Towers of Capitalism.

But I heard something tonight that rang a clarion call inside my mind.

Forget all the above, nothing about Commerce, Geopolitics or Worldwide Zionist Conspiracies can explain why in recent times two of THE most popular names in America for baby boys have been

Jacob:: Seed of Israel, Patriarch of the Jewish Race

and

Joshua: First Judge of Israel who commanded the
conquest of the Philistine Nations.

Sinister cabals of influence can accomplish many things but to influence how vast numbers of couples name their sons? No that comes from the Cultural Archetypes, the Ancestral Psyche of a People.

Could America really BE the Lost Tribe of Israel, made manifest in the flesh in the Present Times?

Could al-Qaeda and the others be correct, but not in the way they think?

You come up with an explanation for the prevalence of these names in young baby boys in America.

The Greatest Form of Patriotism
Hat Tip Protein Wisdom in

Kerry on my wayward war hero

The Volokh Conspiracy’s Jim Lindgren quotes John Kerry, who, in the course of a speech yesterday at Grinnell College in Iowa, managed to cram a number of dubious assertions into an admirably compact soundbite—presumably as a way to reinforce the ignorance of the student activist class that the Democratic left so relies upon for vocal outrage:

Dismissing dissent is not only wrong, but dangerous when America’s leadership is unwilling to admit mistakes, unwilling to engage in honest discussion, and unwilling to hold itself accountable for the consequences of decisions made without genuine disclosure, or genuine debate. As Thomas Jefferson said, “dissent is the highest form of patriotism."

I will have to admit that quote sounds very profound and Jefferson could have been justly proud for uttering it if he had.

Which is not the case, at least according to The Volokh Conspiracy in

Thomas Jefferson's Love of Dissent.-

According to the Jefferson Library:

"There are a number of quotes that we do not find in Thomas Jefferson's correspondence or other writings; in such cases, Jefferson should not be cited as the source. Among the most common of these spurious Jefferson quotes are: 'Dissent is the highest form of patriotism.'

I have a suggestion for Mr Kerry.

When "Speaking Truth to Power"? (I believe that is one of the New Mantras of the Progressive Left), try to ensure that what you are saying Is true?

Am I accusing Mr Kerry of Uttering a deliberate Lie?

No

Am I accusing Mr Kerry speaking about something of which he knows nothing about?

You have a mind, what do you think.

Actually Dissent IS an important aspect of our Society, and it can have more than one direction.

Some claim to be "Speaking Truth to Power" others merely speak "Truth to Ignorant".

I am using the word ignorant in its true dictionary , not , unlearned, without moral comment. Ignorance, is in fact a curable disease.

I think I will let other voices than mine answer Kerry and his Keystone Kops on one of the Great Issues of our Times.

Someone said awhile back that the

"The moral authority of parents who bury children killed in Iraq is absolute

That claim has to rank equally with "Dissent is the greatest form of patriotism."

Without detracting from the moral worth of "dissent" or the "moral authority " parents who bury children killed in combat", I will respectfully differ.

In my eyes the Moral Authority of those who lay down their lives in combat to protect their loved ones and this Nation, is higher, and it is also a Higher Form of Patriotism than words.

Mr Kerry? I dissent from YOU.

And in to your theories about our needs and plans for the MidEast I will choose to let them speak for me.

Most of us have heard ad naseum one single quote from a Zogby Poll reported recently.

U.S. Troops in Iraq: 72% Say End War in 2006

I dare say that was the only quote you heard in the Legacy Media using that Poll as a source.

Big Lizards in That Doggone Zog Blog Hog Slogs Along presents to us a more complete list of the questions and .

Withdrawl

15. How long should U.S. troops stay in Iraq?

1. They should withdraw immediately
2. They should withdraw within the next six months
3. They should withdraw within six to twelve months
4. They should stay as long as they are needed
5. Not sure

51.4% say "immediately" or "next six months;" 72% say within "twelve months.'

This question was the lede in Zogby analysis -- U.S. Troops in Iraq: 72% Say End War in 2006 -- and in some of the stories about the poll. The implication is obvious: morale is low! the soldiers want to go home! they don't believe in the mission! they think we're losing, losing, losing!

But as I noted last time, the real question here is never answered: why do the troops think we should withdraw in twelve months, six months, or immediately? It is because they think we've already lost -- or because they believe we've won, and they take the president at his word that "as the Iraqis stand up, we will stand down?" By "withdrawl," do they mean everyone out, or do they mean drawing down the force level?

The Stars and Stripes article linked above raised this same point:

But Loren Thompson, a military analyst with the Lexington Institute, said troops who say the U.S. should withdraw could be concerned for their own safety, or they could be optimistic about progress so far, or they could simply be opposed to the idea of operations in Iraq.

?You have to pick apart each servicemember?s thought process to understand what that means,? he said. ?I think this is about personal circumstances, and not proof there is a higher rate of troops who desire departure.?

What Zogby really needed to ask is whether the troops think the mission has been successful or not, and (as Hugh Hewitt suggested) how high their morale is; that would have told us the why. As it is, we can only infer the why by looking at the next question:

16. According to recent polls, about half of Americans favor a rapid withdrawal and half favor an open-ended occupation of Iraq. Which do you believe best describes the motives of those favoring rapid withdrawal?

1. They are unpatriotic
2. They are not aware of the need for U.S. troops
3. They believe that continued occupation will not work
4. They are against use of the military in preemptive war and "nation building"
5. Other
6. Not sure

51.6% say because "they are unpatriotic" or because "they are not aware of the need for U.S. troops."

Unaware is a more polite synonym for the word I used earlier, and unpatriotic is a more polite word for others that could be used.

I will bet that few have heard this last little tidbit from the Mainstream Media,

It bears repeating with emphasis.

16. According to recent polls, about half of Americans favor a rapid withdrawal and half favor an open-ended occupation of Iraq. Which do you believe best describes the motives of those favoring rapid withdrawal?

51.6% say because "they are unpatriotic" or because "they are not aware of the need for U.S. troops."

Now THAT is what I call "Speaking Truth to Power" and with "Absolute Moral Authority", by those who DO show the "Greatest Form Of Patriotism":

Strongly Disapprove
and
Definitely Vote Against

It is sometimes hard to compare two polls whose labels use different language, but I will make an attempt.

I will start with the assumption that

Strongly Disapprove (of) is equivalent to (will)Definitely Vote Against.

Does that sound reasonable? I do not think that

Somewhat Disapprove (of) relates the same animus as (will)Definitely Vote Against.

If you do not agree, then please explain your Logic in my comments section.

The reason for my writing the above in such ambiguous terms is because we are often Inundated with polemics about Bush's declining Poll Numbers while at the same time Hillary Clinton is mentioned in hush terms as the most likely Candidate to get the Democratic Presidential Nomination in 2008 and lead them to a Final Solution vis a vis the Repugicans.

So what IS the Reality?

Here are the latest results on the Rasmussen Polling Site (who favored Kerry in the last election, I might add for balance)

.

I have made the jpgs above hyperlinks to the pertinent articles, be advised as time goes on the figures will alter in the articles.

But it does seem to me that the catastrophic Non-approval rating for Bush of

"Strongly Disapprove(e) 40%"

bears a strong resemblance to the Non-approval rating of Hillary

"Def(initely) Vote Against 39%"

What do YOU think?

Burns: Illegal immigrants shouldn't be counted in Census
Last night the creator of the Coalition Against Illegal Immigration emailed a request for posts on the topic of the above article.

I have related some of this issue arising from the fact that Congressional Apportionment, is at the present time, decided not by the enumeration of Citizens in the Census but by counting ALL residents, Citizen, Resident LEGAL Aliens and ILLEGAL Aliens, in my previous posts.

Should Illegal Aliens Determine the Presidency of the United States?

The Curious Case
of Congressional Apportionment

and

When They Stole
the House of Representatives
from the Citizens of America

My good friend Debbie Hamilton at Right Truth echos my sentiments in

It's not about immigration, it's about power

It is a topic very much on my mind, I am pleased that a member of Congress has at last taken a stand on it.

Independent Record - Montana Sen. Conrad Burns
has proposed excluding illegal immigrants from the congressional apportionment process, a move that could shift House seats from growing border states to smaller states with lower immigrant populations.

Actually this should not come as any surprise without the Non-Citizen count in the Census, Montana would have two seats in the House of Representatives instead of its present one seat.

I defy anyone to find logic that justifies a State being denied the representatives in Congress that its population of Citizens entitles it by a count of Alien residents. Those States that from this travesty of Justice could try, but their words would ring hollow.

Burns, R-Mont., introduced legislation Tuesday that would require the Secretary of Commerce, who oversees the Census Bureau, to adjust the population numbers used to apportion congressional seats to exclude illegal immigrants.

The Census Bureau does not currently distinguish illegal immigrants in its population estimates gathered every 10 years.

Montana has one House seat for about 920,000 people, while the average member represents about 650,000. Burns says that the nation's estimated 11 million to 12 million illegal immigrants are distorting Montana's congressional representation.

"If these trends continue, we will be looking at upwards of 15 million illegal aliens in the United States for the 2010 census, maybe more," Burns said Tuesday. "And the result will be more seats lost in states that have actually increased in population of law-abiding U.S. citizens."

15 million Illegal Aliens would equate to about 23 seats in the House. Where would they go? Well just look at these maps of the last two National Elections compared with the distribution of Non-Citizens, it will be apparent

It is said a Picture is worth a thousand words so let me illustrate the issue pictorially.

Here is an active gif showing the political alignment of the last two Presidential Elections

Here is map of the Distribution of Non Citizen over the United States.

Do you have the Picture now?

To continue

Steven Camarota, research director at the Washington-based Center for Immigration Studies, says the proposal has good intentions but could be difficult to implement.

The Census Bureau could ask immigrants if they are in the United States illegally, he said, but that would require changing census forms and trusting people to answer the question honestly.

Part of me likes this guys logic, After all people also lie on their Tax forms so he has created a compelling reason to disband the IRS and discontinue Personal Income Tax!

Not really the bovine byproduct this man would be best used plowed into the ground to inspire turnips than as a reasoned statement of Government Policy.

If an Alien is in this country they would have a passport? Passports have numbers on them, when you fill out an entry ticket you write that down, If you have a Visa or a Greencard they also have identifiers?

If the numbers don't match the person doesn't count. It is that simple AND by devising away to set aside even LEGAL Aliens we would be able to limit Congressional Apportionment to the CITIZEN Count, as it should be.

"The bottom line is that you are opened up to all kinds of legal and practical challenges," he said. "The way to fix it is to have a whole lot fewer illegals."

A 2003 report written by Camarota's group calculated that the presence of illegal immigrants cost Montana a seat it would have otherwise gained.

"Thankfully, my state of Montana cannot lose any more seats in the House of Representatives," Burns said. "We are down to our last one. Other states, however, will not be so fortunate."

Since when have AMERICANS shirked challenges? Also, Laws are what we pay Congress to WRITE

I for one would like to start getting my moneys worth. I for one demand that Congress do its Job on this issue.

Now when Brian sent out his Call to Action Email, Article Needs writing, I had just started work and I confess I did stop at a restaurant to eat afterwords.

So I would expect there have been a few other posts on this issue. Let me try to find Links to them now.,
Illegal immigrants shouldn't be counted in Census from DeMediacratic Nation
Hat tip to The Uncooperative Blogger

What an idea.....

If these trends continue, we will be looking at upwards of 15 million illegal aliens in the United States for the 2010 census, maybe more. And the result will be more seats lost in states that have actually increased in population of law-abiding U.S. citizens. - Montana Senator Conrad Burns

Illegal immigrants shouldn't be counted in Census from The Violence Worker
VW SEZ:

Now here is a proposal that makes sense. A Montana Senator is proposing we not count illegal aliens invaders during the 10 year census for Congressional apportionment.

I?m all for this. I think it is patently unfair to non-border states

Zacarias Moussaoui
NOT
Going Straight To Paradise

He will be the Guest of the United States of America

FIRST

This outcome I really approve of. Not because
I wish to be merciful, do not approve of the death penalty or have any other qualms, but because instead, I am vindictive and vengeful.

You see this guy truly believes that if he dies for the True Faith he goes straight to Paradise with all sorts of fringe benefits.

the deposition, presented by prosecutors to build their case that Moussaoui was a serious terrorist threat, al-Attas said Moussaoui talked about holy war every day when they roomed together, taught him martial arts and proposed sending him to Pakistan to learn the Islamic militant justification for jihad.

"Your obligation, like any other Muslim, is to be ready for jihad," he quoted Moussaoui as telling him. Al-Attas also said Moussaoui told him:

"This is the only way for me to get to paradise."

I feel in making the punishment, not just fit the crime but the criminal.

So in this case execution, would be doing him a favor! Yes I also have no doubts he will be headed for some hotter climate than basking in divine luxury catered to for all time by 72 eternal virgins, but what I believe has no real bearing.

What he believes does.

SO I want him to be pointed at a cell and told,

"Get used to it m'boy, because you will be spending quite a few decades here, no rapid trip to Paradise for you!"

And when his body starts wearing out in 50 or 60 years, I hope our technology has advanced by then that we can keep him corporeal for an indefinite time.

Did I mention I am vindictive and vengeful?

Here is the time line of

Major events in Moussaoui's case

It starts

2001

-Feb. 26-May 29: Moussaoui trains at Norman, Okla., flight school but doesn't get pilot's license.

Aug. 17: Moussaoui arrested on immigration charges
after arousing suspicion at a Minnesota flight school by asking to learn to fly a Boeing 747

and it ends

-April 20: Testimony concludes in the trial.

-April 24: The jury begins deliberations after the prosecution and defense present their closing arguments.

- May 3: A federal jury spared Moussaoui from execution, deciding he will spend the rest of his life in prison

I understand as he was leaving the courtroom he hollered out

""America you lost!" Moussaoui shouted as he left the courtroom after hearing the verdict. He clapped his hands and yelled, "I won!"

"Anti-death penalty activists said the case showed U.S. juries were less willing to impose capital punishment than in the past, even in a case of such wrenching emotion."

Not really at least on my part I want him to suffer for a long time, not meet a quick ending.

Some folks prat about wanting "closure" from the horrors of Sept 11, I prefer a Reckoning

When he gets to where he is going to spend the rest of his life, someone should ask him after the door clanks shut.

"Does this look like winning Punk?"

You know something? To be a Shaheed Martyr and Gazzi (Holy) Warrrior, you have to DIE FIGHTING for
the True Faith, I am not certain waiting around to die of Old Age qualifies. ;-)

Who knows with the advancements in Medical Science, maybe we can keep his body functioning indefinitely.
Trap him forever in corporeal form, never achieving Paradise. I would want him to KNOW this and I would want any other wannabe Martyrs to know it as well.

Here is my wish for a LONG Life for Zacarias Moussaoui.

May he never die.

The Great Cox & Forkum captures the spirit of my philosophy perfectly in

With a Whimper

Pinko De Mayo
Well it is 2 days until Cinco de Mayo and it is 2 days since Pinko de Mayo. It is nice when the Universe shows Symetry isn't it?

I wish I could take credit for this play on words but cudos belong to Hog on Ice in

Happy Pinko de Mayo! Or is it "Feliz"?

I do know one of the latest blogs I found in my sitemeter referals, The DK Republic will agree his May 1st post read

"Happy May Day Pinkos! 05/01/06

Want to give a quick shout out to all the left-wingers. Enjoy your May Day, a day for you to express solidarity with all your fellow commies. Of course May 1st being International Labor Day is part of the reason America Celebrates its own Labor Day back in September. Not that Pinkos have much to celebrate anymore, thanks to the complete annihilation of the Soviet Union That caused the extreme left a little bit of a problem, namely, the tyrants before which they supplicated themselves for so long were gone. But never fear, They found themselves new ones. Nevermind that their new Islamo-Fascist overlords don't even bother with the usual leftist clap trap of joyful collectivization and "From each according to their abilities, to each according to their needs." What matters is that they are against America and the West. So congratulations to the Pinkos. Today is Your Day."

Now we don't just label folks Pinkos and Poslyene Idioti (Useful Idiots) because they happen to do something on May Day. No in this case it is not necessary to make that leap.

All we have to do is look at the main organisation that organised these demonstrations ANSWER.

" Reports from May 1 Boycott & Actions: A.N.S.W.E.R. organizers are participating in May 1 activities in cities throughout the nation. In Southern California alone, we'll be attending no less than six activities that day. We'll report on what happened in LA and around the country.

* What's Next for the Immigrant Rights Movement? After the boycott, what's next? We'll discuss ideas about how to build a network of activists in Southern California to work on concerted campaigns to win amnesty for all immigrants. You'll also hear an update on what's happening with the immigration issue in Congress. Bring your ideas and energy to take action.
"

You will notice I did not hyperlink. That is what google is for I would not add one single link to their count. Not after reading this

English: I demand full rights and equality for all immigrants living in the United States. Neoliberal economic policies targeting Latin America, like NAFTA and CAFTA, have pushed millions of people into abject poverty. Immigrants are forced to come to the U.S. to look for work. Nobody should be criminalized for attempting to survive. No human being is illegal. Racism against immigrants emanates from the same forces behind the U.S. war to conquer and control the wealth of Iraq.

Remind you of the UN cute little plan to create something they call the Universal Right to Immigration?

The UN's "Borderless" World

Citizens are demanding that their government ensure effective protection at the borders against more illegal entrants, who at the very least will become tax burdens on the American people and could pose a much more serious security threat. Congress and the President must decide what to do about this mounting problem, consistent with the tenets of the U.S. Constitution. Our democratic institutions can and must handle this situation without any outside interference.

The United Nations sees the matter differently. Its bureaucrats envision a ?borderless? world where immigration is treated as an international human rights issue and used as a global development tool to encourage free movement of the developing countries? poor to developed nations. This philosophy underlies their preparations for the United Nations High Level Dialogue concerning international migration and development, scheduled to take place in conjunction with the fall 2006 General Assembly session. They want the agenda for this Dialogue to center on the relationship between international migration and the economic and social development of the poorer countries in the world.

The UN bureaucrats? aggressive push into the immigration debate fits in with their dogmatic belief that international treaties should trump national sovereignty prerogatives ? in this case, a UN treaty that codifies the internationalization of immigration policy called the International Convention on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of their Families. This Convention was adopted by the General Assembly in 1990 but went into effect in 2003 after the twentieth signing country formally ratified it. It is heavily biased against countries like the United States which receive the lion?s share of illegal aliens.

Still it is not the Day they chose nor just the philsophy they espouse on their website that justifies the Pinko label but the origins of this group.

Christopher Hitchens lays this out perfectly in

Anti-War, My Foot The phony peaceniks who protested in Washington

"a dip into any database could have furnished Janofsky with well-researched and well-written articles by David Corn and Marc Cooper?to mention only two radical left journalists?who have exposed "International ANSWER" as a front for (depending on the day of the week) fascism, Stalinism, and jihadism.

Anti-War, My Foot
The phony peaceniks who protested in Washington.
By Christopher Hitchens

Are they really "anti-war"?
Saturday's demonstration in Washington, in favor of immediate withdrawal of coalition forces from Iraq, was the product of an opportunistic alliance between two other very disparate "coalitions." Here is how the New York Times (after a front-page and an inside headline, one of them reading "Speaking Up Against War" and one of them reading "Antiwar Rallies Staged in Washington and Other Cities") described the two constituenciess of the event:

The protests were largely sponsored by two groups, the Answer Coalition, which embodies a wide range of progressive political objectives, and United for Peace and Justice, which has a more narrow, antiwar focus.

The name of the reporter on this story was Michael Janofsky. I suppose that it is possible that he has never before come across "International ANSWER," the group run by the "Worker's World" party and fronted by Ramsey Clark, which openly supports Kim Jong-il, Fidel Castro, Slobodan Milosevic, and the "resistance" in Afghanistan and Iraq, with Clark himself finding extra time to volunteer as attorney for the genocidaires in Rwanda. Quite a "wide range of progressive political objectives" indeed, if that's the sort of thing you like. However, a dip into any database could have furnished Janofsky with well-researched and well-written articles by David Corn and Marc Cooper?to mention only two radical left journalists?who have exposed "International ANSWER" as a front for (depending on the day of the week) fascism, Stalinism, and jihadism.

The group self-lovingly calling itself "United for Peace and Justice" is by no means "narrow" in its "antiwar focus" but rather represents a very extended alliance between the Old and the New Left, some of it honorable and some of it redolent of the World Youth Congresses that used to bring credulous priests and fellow-traveling hacks together to discuss "peace" in East Berlin or Bucharest. Just to give you an example, from one who knows the sectarian makeup of the Left very well, I can tell you that>b> the Worker's World Party?Ramsey Clark's core outfit?is the product of a split within the Trotskyist movement. These were the ones who felt that the Trotskyist majority, in 1956, was wrong to denounce the Russian invasion of Hungary. The WWP is the direct, lineal product of that depraved rump. If the "United for Peace and Justice" lot want to sink their differences with such riffraff and mount a joint demonstration, then they invite some principled political criticism on their own account. And those who just tag along ? well, they just tag along.

Oh and of course the usual rant is always

"Racism against immigrants emanates from the same forces behind the U.S. war to conquer and control the wealth of Iraq.

Which is ironic because

1) I have nothing against IMMIGRANTs I do have something against ILLEGAL Aliens and there IS a difference!

2) I am not alone I am in acord with the same sentiments as some LATINOS. Do they also exhibit racism against Immigrants?

From the Gates of Vienna I found a link to

"Josue Sierra, the proprietor of the blog Latino Issues. Mr. Sierra is one of the forgotten Latinos, because his parents are Cuban, and, as we all know, Cubans are not ?real? Hispanics. Their first sin is to reject Fidel?s socialist paradise. Then they tend to arrive in this country with a love for liberty and an enthusiasm for America, and that just won?t do, will it? Not only that, they often ? gasp! ? vote Republican."

Here is a taste of Mr Sierra

Reader, "I will vote for those candidates that will not tolerate illegal alliens"

"From a reader, here is what I suspect is going to be the true result of these mass rallies and the boycott.

While politicians like pandering to the masses--a problem from since the Roman Empire--in our country, the voters (you know, those citizens registered to vote) will decide.

I do not have symphaty with the illegals and the marchers of May 1st. I am a naturalized citizen myself, but I did it the legal way. I am going to the poll today and I will vote for those candidates that will not tolerate illegal alliens, especialy those people that hates America and carrying anti american slogans.
"

So I submit those who oppose the massive influx of Illegal Aliens are NOT racist, but those who have sponsored the drive for Immigrant Rights? have a political agenda that is contrary to our Democratic Way of Life.

Let your Congressmen know that you expect them to represent YOU and not ANSWER or the UN.

LET Them

I know it is tempting and is an obvious reaction to todays boycott after all, as we found out in
Should Illegal Aliens Determine the Presidency of the United States?
the concentration of Non-Citizens happens to coincide with the concentration of the Democratic Party's Power.

Here is map of the Distribution of Non Citizen over the United States.

Here is an active gif showing the political alignment of the last two Presidential Elections

So it is obvious that most of the economic impact of any boycott would effect the Democratic areas of our Political Map and have relatively little impact on the Republican areas.

Now upon reading it, one can realize that I did not hold to every detail of that original statement, but from it's basic premise, I have never swayed, in my belief that the Blogs are in fact the Committees of Correspondence of the Second American Revolution.

And that it is a Revolution of Information, no longer can we afford and allow elite gateways to control what we can see, hear and discuss.

For I believe that those bloggers who find their way, here and in particular from the Blogs associated with Sam.

HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY.

Some of us are more Serious, some of us are more lighthearted and some post the common ordinary things that make one smile and recall that Life without the simple things to treasure is meaningless.

And it is important that all have a platform from which to speak.
