The US Is No Longer Number One
Topic: Islamic Jihad

It would appear thathe United States has lost it's Number One place as the Greatest Evil in the World.

Now that we are Number Two, I guess we will just have to try harder.

A few thoughts on what's Funny, what's Not and the Kaffir Underground

This is a Joke
Women, know your place!

This is NOT
The Twisted Nature of Women Stems from Their Very Creation

Is it in wonder that in places like Denmark we find signs of

The Kaffir Underground

From Gates of ViennaWhose motto is:
At the siege of Vienna in 1683 Islam seemed poised to overrun Christian Europe. We are in a new phase of a very old war.

 We declare:

Saint Hans’ Eve has always celebrated the tradition of burning away the evil, in earlier times symbolized by the witch, who was supposedly directly connected to Satan. And if the witch was not burned then the harvest could not be safely brought into the house.

Now a new evil has arrived in Europe, an evil that lies and kills in the name of their so-called God. An evil that springs from the so-called Prophet Mohammed. Therefore, in our time, it is he who symbolizes evil and it is not just one harvest that will disappear, but all of Western Europe’s future that will vanish if this evil is not dispatched to Hekkenfeldt [i.e. Hell, literally the Hekla volcano in Iceland — BB].

Therefore will we burn the so-called Prophet Mohammed, on June 23, 2007, in three nameless places.

We burned Mohammed in three different places across the country. We now release the video from the first burning. The next videos will be released on July 23 and August 23.

For a Mohammed-free Denmark!!!

Video removed will post if it surfaces again

Massive Car Bomb Disarmed In London
Topic: Islamic Jihad

Note: As you can see by this time stamp "Posted by ky/kentuckydan at 9:07 AM CDT"

I started this post just a few hours after the event, alas my blog provider improved my service and it took me all this time to find workarounds. Some features I used to use to edit no longer work and some that I am supposed to use now don't work yet

Flash email from IRIS BLOG

A bomb was found and made safe in Haymarket, London

on Friday morning, Sky News reported. Sky sources said that the explosive device, which was found in a car, was potentially "massive." The area was cordoned off and anti-terrorist police were at the scene.

More from SkyNews

'Car Weaved Along Before Crashing' Updated: 10:15, Friday June 29, 2007 Witnesses at the scene of the car bomb that failed to go off in central London have told Sky News reporter Emma Birchley what they saw. One said they noticed a silver Mercedes being driven erratically close to the Tiger Tiger nightclub in the Haymarket, near Piccadilly, at around 1:30am. The scene remains cordoned off The driver skidded along the road and crashed the vehicle into rubbish bins that were standing on the pavement before getting out and running away. According to the witness, bouncers from the club then went over to the car to check it out and may have found the device. The owner of a local convenience store said: "It was at 2am that it happened. There were three of us working together. "The police came, closed the door and told us and the customers to stay inside. "They cleared all the people from the area by 2am. At that time we did not know what was going on." Birchley also spoke to a freelance photographer who passed through the area at around 4am. She explained: "The photographer stopped because the area had already been cordoned off. "He said he saw that gas canisters had been removed from the vehicle, a silver Mercedes, and unloaded onto the pavement. "He could also see something large in the back of the car." A different eyewitness has told Sky News he saw nails in the back of the car as well as the gas cannisters

For those who think this is an isolated incident? Might I point out

6/29/07 ( Khost, Afghanistan ) - Religious extremists kidnap and behead a language interpreter.
6/28/07 ( Ramban, India ) - A civilian is abducted and beheaded by the Religion of Peace.
6/28/07 ( Pulwama, India ) - Lashkar-e-Toiba militants attack a security patrol, killing one member.
6/28/07 ( Paktika, Afghanistan ) - An 18-year-old Afghan civilian is killed by a Fedayeen suicide bomber.

Machines Have Learned How To Lie?

I should not be surprised, but I learned this morning that machines now lie to us.

I was listening to the Kim Kommando Show on the way home from work this morning and as usual, I learned something helpful

Ink Jet Printers LIE!

If yours tells you it is running out of Ink?

Don't listen to it. They lie.

It turns out the BEST ones tell you that when there is still 20% of the ink left and the WORST ones tell you that when they have SIXTY FOUR PERCENT of their Ink left!!

You just can't trust anything.

The question now is, what other pieces of equipment do I have lurking in my house that I cannot trust?

I admit I have always been a little suspicious of my scales. ;-)

So don't turn your back on your computer peripherials or other electronic devices, they can't be trusted.

A Phoenix From the Ashes
Topic: Islamic Jihad
Got an Email from the Gunny. I have written about him before in From the Gunny Fw: ain't this the truth and
There Is No Such Thing As An Ex-Marine.

This time it was about the USS New York. Made from the World Trade Center!

It was built with 24 tons of scrap steel from the World Trade Center.

It is the fifth in a new class of warship - designed for missions that include special operations against terrorists. It will carry a crew of 360 sailors and 700 combat-ready Marines to be delivered ashore by helicopters and assault craft.

Steel from the World Trade Center was melted down in a foundry in Amite, LA to cast the ship's bow section. When it was poured into the molds on Sept 9, 2003, "those big rough steelworkers treated it with total reverence," recalled Navy Capt. Kevin Wensing, who was there. "It was a spiritual moment for everybody there."

Junior Chavers, foundry operations manager, said that when the trade center steel first arrived, he touched it with his hand and the "hair on my neck stood up." "It had a big meaning to it for all of us," he said. "They knocked us down. They can't keep us down. We're going to be back."

The ship's motto? "Never Forget"

Please keep this going so everyone can see what we are made of in this country!

I have another unofficial motto for it

Do You Feel Lucky Punk?

Later ships in the class will include USS Arlington, the location of the Pentagon, also struck by a hijacked jetliner on Sept. 11, and USS Somerset, named for the Pennsylvania county where United Flight 93 crashed after its passengers fought off hijackers apparently planning to attack another Washington target.

"Der er et yndigt land" (There Is A Lovely Land)

Words by: Adam Gottlob Oehlenschlager
Music by: Hans Ernst Kr?yer
Adopted: 1844

"Derer et yndigt land" was first performed for a large gathering of Danes in 1844, and became popular quickly with the Danish people. It was adopted later that year by the Danish government as a national anthem, but not the sole national anthem. This anthem is on equal status with "Kong Christian",which is both the national and royal anthem.

When the Danish anthem is usually performed or sung, the first verse is played in its entirety, then it is followed by the last four lines of the last verse. (This is true whether the lyrics are sung or not

When I first started upon my journey through the blogverse I created a
Statement of Purpose
Now upon reading it, one can realize that I did not hold to every detail of that original statement, but from it's basic premise, I have never swayed, in my belief that the Blogs are in fact the Committees of Correspondence of the Second American Revolution.

And that it is a Revolution of Information, no longer can we afford and allow elite gateways to control what we can see, hear and discuss.

For I believe that those bloggers who find their way, here and in particular from the Blogs associated with Sam.

HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY.

Some of us are more Serious, some of us are more lighthearted and some post the common ordinary things that make one smile and recall that Life without the simple things to treasure is meaningless.

And it is important that all have a platform from which to speak.

As I understand this process you can link to this post and trackback to this post on ANY subject or post you think important. It is open. I will repeat this every Monday.

I just ran across this at

In Another Stumble for Mr. Anti-Poverty

The New York Times — which is still capable of being a pretty good newspaper — reports:

John Edwards ended 2004 with a problem: how to keep alive his public profile without the benefit of a presidential campaign that could finance his travels and pay for his political staff.

Edwards, who reported this year that he had assets of nearly $30 million, came up with a novel solution, creating a nonprofit organization with the stated mission of fighting poverty. The organization, the Center for Promise and Opportunity, raised $1.3 million in 2005, and — unlike a sister charity he created to raise scholarship money for poor students

the main beneficiary of the center’s fund-raising was Mr. Edwards himself, tax filings show.

A spokesman for Mr. Edwards defended the center yesterday as a legitimate tool against poverty.

The organization became a big part of a shadow political apparatus for Mr. Edwards after his defeat as the Democratic vice presidential nominee in 2004 and before the start of his presidential bid this time around.\

Its officers were members of his political staff, and it helped pay for his nearly constant travel, including to early primary states.

While Mr. Edwards said the organization’s purpose was “making the eradication of poverty the cause of this generation,” its federal filings say it financed “retreats and seminars” with foreign policy experts on Iraq and national security issues. Unlike the scholarship charity, donations to it were not tax deductible, and, significantly, it did not have to disclose its donors — as political action committees and other political fund-raising vehicles do — and there were no limits on the size of individual donations.

So John Edwards has created a Non Profit Org to fight Poverty and Create Jobs for---

Himself and his Staff?

I can just picture him feeding of the generosity of folks who think they are actually helping the poor with their donations.

When To Accept Defeat
Topic: Iraq War

When you have lost the Hearts and Minds of the People.

When your plans have proven flawed and futile.

When your strategy results in only dead ends.

It is time to accept Defeat,

Try to salvage what you can

Admit that you were wrong.

For You have LOST.

All that you hold in your hand is

FAILURE

Oh, did you think I was referring to the War in Iraq?

No I am referring to the first 150 days of the Democratic Party's control of Congress which has resulted in

New Gallup data show confidence in Congress at all time low

Just 14% of Americans have a great deal or quite a lot of confidence in Congress.

This 14% Congressional confidence rating is the all-time low for this measure,

which Gallup initiated in 1973. The previous low point for Congress was 18% at several points in the period of time 1991 to 1994.

Congress is now nestled at the bottom of the list of Gallup's annual Confidence in Institutions rankings, along with HMOs. Just 15% of Americans have a great deal or quite a lot of confidence in HMOs. (By way of contrast,

69% of Americans have a great deal or quite a lot of confidence in the military.,

which tops the list. More on this at galluppoll.com on Thursday).

It’s worth remembering that Congress is basically nothing more than a mechanism for the representation of the people’s wishes. We all can’t go to Washington. So we elect men and women and send them off in our stead. It’s not an optimal situation, it seems to me, when such a low percentage of average Americans have confidence in this system.

Generally speaking, Americans have been skeptical about Congress for decades now. But the current 14% confidence rating for Congress is down from 19% last year and is the lowest in Gallup’s history, surpassing the 18% confidence in Congress measured in 1991, 1993 and 1994.

Americans' are generally in a sour mood, as discussed here. The particularly low rating for Congress this year thus represents a continuation of the existing low esteem in which Congress is held, coupled with a strongly negative mindset on the part of the American public.

Perhaps Runaway Harry Reid should take a page from his own notebook.

He declares defeat every chance he gets.

He denounces our Military leaders as incompetents.

But it seems that the American People trust our Military, and they are losing trust in Congress and the Democratic Party more and more as time goes on and their real agenda emerges.

Recently I got an email with a poll in it.

The Real Democrat Story Survey

One of the question was

"What is your best idea for defeating the Democrats in 2008?"

My responce was they seemed to be doing a great job by themselves and we should just get out of their way.

The deal is that they and the media are trying to convince us, that it is we who demand what they are trying to do and that my friends is a lie.

If you think that you are out of step with what the majority of Americans think, feel and believe?

You Are Not Alone

Harry Reid And the Holy Grail
Topic: Iraq War
When I look at Harry Reid for some reason I am reminded of Monty Python. I mean doesn't he look he belongs in a Monty Python skit?

And of course it is not too hard to figure out which skit he would fit in best,
not with his constant litany of "Run away, RUN AWAY!"

Even before the New Counterinsurgency protocol has even been fully implement he has already labeled it a failure and our military leaders on the ground as incompetent.

Someone refresh my memory? When exactly did our Harry graduate from the War College?

Can you just imagine how this Nation would have fared if we had had political leaders of this stripe during earlier times of crisis?

Harry Reid on the Normandy Invasion:

Omaha Beach was the bloodiest landing beach on D-Day. Elements of the 1st Infantry Division and 29th Infantry Division faced the German 352nd Infantry Division, one of the best trained on the beaches. Allied intelligence failed to realize that the relatively low-quality 716th Infantry Division (static) had been replaced by the 352nd a few days before the invasion. Omaha was also the most heavily fortified beach, and the pre-landing aerial and naval bombardment of the bunkers proved to be ineffective. On the Eastern sector, 27 of the 32 Sherman DD tanks deployed never reached the beach. On the Western sector the Sherman DDs were landed directly on the beach, but suffered heavy losses due to German artillery defending the beach. The official record stated that "within 10 minutes of the ramps being lowered, [the leading] company had become inert, leaderless and almost incapable of action. Every officer and sergeant had been killed or wounded [...] It had become a struggle for survival and rescue". There were about 2,400 casualties on Omaha on D-day, most in the first few hours. Commanders considered abandoning the beachhead, but small units, often forming ad hoc groups, eventually took the beach and pressed inland.

Initial assault

"I was the first one out. The seventh man was the next one to get across the beach without being hit. All the ones in-between were hit. Two were killed; three were injured. That?s how lucky you had to be." Captain Richard Merrill, 2nd Ranger Battalion.[6]

Nothing went to plan.

I can just hear Harry screaming about the incompetence of the Allied commanders and demanding we declare defeat and surrender to the Germans?

It's good thing he was not in political power then.

How about WW1?

The Battle of Cantigny

The first sustained American offensive of the war, although a minor action in itself, the Battle of Cantigny was fought on 28 May 1918, the second day of the great German offensive comprising the Third Battle of the Aisne.

A regiment of the American 1st Division (some 4,000 troops), under Major-General Robert Lee Bullard, captured the village of Cantigny, held by the German Eighteenth Army commanded by von Hutier and the site of a German advance observation point, strongly fortified.

Aiding the attack, the French provided both air cover in addition to 368 heavy guns and trench mortars, plus flamethrower teams. The advancing American infantry were preceded into the village by twelve French tanks following a two-hour advance artillery barrage.

In taking the village the Americans expanded their front by approximately a mile. A minor success, its significance was entirely overshadowed by the battle underway along the Aisne, some fifty miles to the north-west.

In the face of seven fierce counter-attacks that day and the next the U.S. forces held their position with the loss of 1,067 casualties; they captured around 100 German prisoners. The American success at Cantigny was followed by attacks at Chateau-Thierry and Belleau Wood in the first half of June.

Or the Civil War? As I recall the Democratic Party of that day wanted the Lincoln driven out of office, the War declared over and the South left to go its own way.

Had they had their way this country would have been split in two, there would have been no Emancipation Proclamation and Slavery would have continued on this continent.

Or how about the War of 1812? That was not what one would call a well run military campaign. I mean our Capital was burned? I can just imagine Harry demanding that Andrew Jackson stand down and not oppose the British invasion of New Orleans, because it would hender our Peace talks with the British.

Or might we consider the Revolutionary War? In May of 178o a little over 5 years from the first shots in Lexignton that marked the start of the War, Charleston South Carolina fell to the British and General Lincoln and his entire army surrendered/

Harry would have sued for mercy and we would have continued as Colonies.

The Nation is indeed fortunate that Runaway Reid was not around during these earlier times to influence National Policy.

Because for Harry, the Holy Grail is defeating the Republican, not our Nation's enemies
