There are three (3) Hibbitts Cemeteries.
The first is located at Hibbitts Gap near Darwin, Virginia in Dickenson County. It was founded in 1864 with the burial of our forefather Charles Hibbitts who died in the Battle of Cranesnest. The cemetery is located on the old Charles Hibbitts farm.
The second Hibbitts Cemetery is located at Grundy, Virginia in Buchanan County. It is named for Joseph Hibbitts who is interred here. He was the eldest son of Charles and Amanda Hibbitts.

The third Hibbitts Cemetery is located at London, Kentucky in Laurel County. Cornelius Hibbitts, son of Charles and Amanda Hibbitts, purchased the farm and cemetery in 1919. At that time the cemetery was known as the Tanner or Pinetop Cemetery. In 1920, Cornelius deeded that portion of the farm containing the cemetery to John Tyler Hibbitts, his youngest son. Over the years the cemetery became known as the Pinetop Cemetery and later the Hibbitts Cemetery.
