I had originally used a NT differential driven by a chain and belt drive from the 11 hp. B&S engine through a simple Forward/Reverse tranny. My only problem was a clutch. I had set up a pulley clutch assembly, very similar to a lawn mower, but the long belt from the engine to tranny wanted to slip off when depressing the clutch. So I changed the entire drive train to a hydrastatic transaxle, no clutch required.
