Seminar Notes #3A - DO/DONE EVANGELISM

This is a basic understanding of evangelism which is DONE people (those who are trusting the finished work of Christ)going to DO people (those who think they have to do something to be saved.)

Basics of Evangelism: The Administrator is the Holy Spirit (John 16:9) - He will convict them of sin because they believe not on Christ . Romans 10:3 tells us that "DO" people are ignorant of Christ's meritorious death.

John 15:26 - He shall testify (to DO people) of Christ (DONE). Ye also shall bear witness (same word as testify) We are workers together with God

We can witness from our mouth to the person's ear and mind; only the Holy Spirit can search his heart (Jer 17: 10 - I the Lord search the hearts)

Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17 - Hearing - the act or the sense of the thing heard)

Faith is a gift from God (Ephesians 2:8,9)

It is in the heart that man believeth unto righteousness (Romans 10:10)

The Holy Spirit's weapon, the Word of God (Ephesians 6:17)

We are workers together with Him, so we use the same weapon

Arguing, Attacking system, Proving wickedness of popes is not evangelism

Whatever they believe, DO/DONE will work

The secret of evangelism is to find out what their DO is, and then present a DONE from the Bible

You can ask a question, and then learn to biblically respond.

If he talks about the Mass,   use Hebrews 10:14

If he talks about Purgatory,   use Hebrews 1:3

If he talks about works,   use Ephesians 2:8,9
