Answer: Into RENEW 2000. Renew 2000 is the latest (in a long line) silly program imposed by the American bishops - but, Maybe not so "silly." Destructive is a better word.
Weak, Frightened Pastors
How awful of those pastors who bring Renew into their parishes, who know better than "to go along to get along." Scaredy pants clerics allow destructive, modernist programs to inflict the laity. Why? Because, if they don't play ball, they might receive criticism from liberal agitators. The pastor might get reported to the Chancery Office.
Good Grief! Wow! Shudder! Heavens To Betsy!
Oh, dear! Perhaps he'll get into trouble. No fear of God, only fear of the Bishop'sSalary might be taken away. Transfers may upset security. He might be ostracized as a dinosaur, or sent away for mental evaluation (A Marxist tactic)
Renew 2000 - What is it?
Small groups of eight people meet periodically in homes. One is designated leader, one who is thoroughly liberalized of course.
Actually, each meeting seems to be adult version of the childhood game: "Follow the Leader."
The groups have been given the improbable name of Small Faith Communities: Members are led to discuss politically correct subjects, such , 1) greater use of women on the altar; 2) inclusive language; 3) profane and blasphemous definitions of God, 4) Leftwing agenda; 5) more radical changes in the Liturgy, etc.
One strict rule: No Dogma, no Divine Truth.
Renew 2000 is hooked up with Call to Action, the infamous catch-basin of malcontents. These include perverts, heretical bishops, feminist nuns, pro-aborts, gadfly clergy. and self centered people. Why don't they all visit nursing homes, scrub some floors, say the Rosary? And stop their bellyaching. In other words, Get A Life!
Renewspeak = A Language of Its Own
At first glance, the words "sound" spiritual - but on closer examination, the texts are devoid of clear doctrine on morals.
Get a load of the following excerpts (from the Renew 2000 manual):
Example 1: "We are all called to be disciples as we encounter God, and grapple with the meaning of Life"
Ed. Note: Whoa! Do they mean to say that we do not know the meaning of Life? Jesus Christ and His Apostles long ago have taught us the meaning of Life. It has been revealed by the Good News, i.e., The Holy Gospels: The goal of each person on earth consists in serving God and reaching salvation.
We are not "searching" for meaning. We are not "grappling." Everyone knows that these terms have become subjective phrases in order to justify habitual immorality. These rebellious rascals-
who would feel at home with King Henry VIII and Martin Luther cloak their licentiousness with trite bromides, Such as:
Follow your conscience!
Do your own thing!
Searching! Grappling! Evolving!
It is obvious that Renew 2000 does not lead souls to love and serve God, to worship Him in truth, nor to keep the Ten Commandments.
Example 2: (From Renew Guidelines)
"The Entrance Procession signals our movement from outside to inside ( . no kidding!)-and leads us to our communal prayer of praise and thanksgiving as the Body of Christ."
Ed. Note: Typical Liberalism! All smoke and mirrors! Why not state the Truth? The True Mass is the reenactment of Christ's death on Calvary in reparation for our sins. The Mass is a propitiatory sacrifice, i.e., a suffering and death for sin.
Why will Renew 2000 not present the Catholic definition of the Mass? Why? Because the Modernist/Liberal theology is principally) a gathering place to express contrived affection for your fellow man. It is not a re-enactment of Calvary. Yes! There are formulas of praise and thanksgiving (of sorts)-
1 ) Praise - for self, and each other 2) Thanksgiving - for being guaranteed Heaven, no matter what kind of life you live.
Legitimate phrases, such as "God loves you" have become twisted and misinterpreted. The implied meaning overlooks God's justice.
No distinction is made between God's Love in the ontological order, such as God's Love of trees and rocks and all created matter - and God's Love in the moral order. God loves virtue, goodness, conformity to His Will and holiness. God does not love man's sins or sinfulness. Indeed, He punishes the unrepentant sinner. If you don't believe us, then believe St. Thomas Aquinas, St. Bonaventure, St. Alphonsus, St. Augustine, St. Francis de Sales, St. Catherine of Siena, St. Teresa of Avila and Pope St. Pius X.
Would you rather follow Karl Rahner, Bernard Haring, Hans Kung, Bishop Gumbleton, Cardinal Mahoney. Fr. Philip Morris, Fr Frank McNulty, and Modernists and feminists of all kinds?
These Liberals - some wearing Roman collars (when it suits them) - are diabolical in their penchant to twist words into justification for their own lifestyles.
