Over 25 years ago I met H. Gregory Adams, a converted monk and priest of the Evangelical Mission in Canada. When Alex Dunlap, Director of The Conversion Center went to be with the Lord, I was asked who would be the best replacement. Without hesitation I suggested Greg Adams, and he shortly thereafter became Conversion Center Director, a post which he held for several years before his return to his original mission in Canada.
Greg is one of the true old-timers in Roman Catholic evangelism. Although hampered with poor health, he continues his work which is to proclaim the Gospel to Roman Catholics and others, and alerting the Christian Church to the truth about Rome. This is from his prayer letter. He can be contacted at 149 Springdale Crescent, Oshawa, Ontario, Canada L1H 7B9.
The Pope has beatified Mother Teresa thus commencing her swift path to "sainthood." The Pope is letting her off her obligatory it couple of miracles" and has waived the rule that five years should elapse from her death. But he has always been in a bit of a hurry, having made 287 "saints" since he took office in 1978, which is more than those created by all of his predecessors put together.
The Council of Trent met over a nineteen-year period primarily to denounce the teachings of the Protestant Reformation. Although the Council met in the sixteenth century, it decrees were reaffirmed by the Church's most recent Councils. No change.
The nearly one billion Catholics worldwide are going WHERE, eternally speaking? One in four in the United States.
There is a decreasing spiritual fruitfulness in the body of Christ because Catholics are not only being accepted as fellow believers by increasing number of evangelicals today. Some false Catholic beliefs are also assimilated.
Christians make the following objections in opposition to the practice of praying to and worshiping the Virgin Mary: It is of pagan origin, and did not begin until the fifth century.. The proclamation of the dogmas of the Immaculate Conception and the Assumption into Heaven are of recent origin, 1854 and 1950 respectively. Feasts were not held in Mary's honor until the seventh century.
The Roman Church promulgated the Infallibility of the Pope. The Vatican Council formulated this into an article of faith and defined Papal Infallibility. By so doing, the Catholic Church took a further step away from the original simplicity and authority of the New Testament. The setting forth of this dogma is one of the vainest delusions that ever darted through disordered minds, or the sober intellects of wise men. It has led the Church of Rome into the quagmires of contradiction and confusion, and the controversy occasioned by its adoption will never cease.
