Alex Dunlap

Alex Dunlap was Founder and Director of The Conversion Center, the first American mission that existed solely for the purpose of evangelizing Roman Catholics.

Alex was a real estate agent, an Episcopalian by religious background, who was converted to Christ and enrolled in Philadelphia College of the Bible to enhance his understanding of the Bible.

While at PCB he took a number of comparative religion courses all of which had to do with religions with which Alex was unfamiliar. He thought of the many Roman Catholics he encountered in his real estate business, and felt that there was more need for instruction in how to reach Roman Catholics, whom he often met, that Zoroastrians, whom he never met.

Thus was The Conversion Center born, and Alex maintained a solid fundamental witness until his death.

He was active in unmasking the ecumenical threat of Key 73, and held weekly classes in Roman Catholic deceptions at St. Peter's House, a house dedicated to rehabilitation of Roman Catholic priests and nuns who had found Christ and left the Roman system.

Among those converted priests and nuns who were benefited by the ministry of The Conversion Center were Mark Pena, Charles Bolton, Enrique Fernandez, Wilma Sullivan, Frank Eberhardt, and Doreen Eberhardt,

Alex was active in the ministry of Grace Chapel of Havertown, PA and was a great friend of the ACCC and other fundamental fraternities. He was never shy about proclaiming the saviourhood of Jesus Christ, and his ministry was not only a harbinger of further witnesses to Roman Catholics but a solid and firm headquarters of the truth of biblical salvation versus the errors of Rome.

The Conversion Center is still in operation today under the leadership of Dr. Moore, in fellowship with Pat Maconaghie, widow of Don who directed The Conversion Center for a number of years.
