There are four major parts to making your own web page the first is your topic or theme. Second is the graphics. The third is the layout and the forth is the code. So with that basic information we can start. If you have a topic you can skip this section. If not my sugestion is to find something that really interests you, like a sport or hobby. Once you have found a good topic you can grow on it and change as you go but you have to have something to start on. If you still cant find a good topic then you can go to webring.com I have found that this page can help. Its has links to any subject you can think of. Just surf the net and find what interests you the most, and to get even more desperate you can just make a page all about you. Granted you wont get as many hits but you'll be happy with it and thats what your own page is all about.
Once you have found a good topic you then need to find the needed tools and animation that you want to use for your page. These are all over the internet just gather them all up and use what you want. Many servers that offer free pages have graphic that you can use but chances are these are over used an you see then everywhere so you might want to be more origonal about it. Save all the files that you are going to use on a disk in the case that you will need them some other time for any reason. Plus its easier to be organised. Below are a few places you can get some graphics for your page, but remember you might find others and need to make last minute changes to you layout so dont plan to much. We will talk about the layout in the next section though so dont worry about that much.

The third step to making your own page is the layout and location. This is the most important part of the whole procces. Get a piece of paper and draw out the page include writing, graphics and pictures. Set it all up so that you can do the html codes with ease. Once you have it all drawn out you need to find out where you want your webpage hosted. There are so many places to get free web space on the internet now its pathetic. Some offer space with a catch thoght they put ads and banners on there that no one wants on there page. I have found four basic places to post your page. They are all free, easy to use, and offer enouph space to do everything that you need. They are angelfire, geocities, xoom, and tripod. They are all good but I prefer angelfire. Visit the servers below and sign up for your own page now. Then return to this page cause the hardest part is next the html code. Na its not that hard and with my help it will be a sinch!
