There once was a wolf who felt strong and true,
Then problems arose and she didn't know what to do.
So she left her pack and Howled alone,
As her heart grew cold and turned to stone.
At first it was a hard thing to do,
But time passed quickly: and healed the feelings of being blue.
As time rolled on she realized,
How differently things felt inside
The urge to Howl soon did fade,
But her spirit soared like the edge of a blade.
As her fur started to change,
She noticed something really strange.
For it should not have been fur she decided to wear,
But insteadt it should be feathers that she bare.
Upon realizing this, her spirit was free,
For it not a wolf, but a bird she was meant to be.
So she spread her wings and began to fly,
To never look back from the deep blue sky.
This was her true path all along,
Her feelings have never been so strong.
So now as she flies with the wind beneathe her wings,
Her spirit glows and her heart sings.
Every once in awhile she does fly by,
Her once known pack to keep a watchful eye.
Down their path , through all the bends,
Cuz friendship to her is til the end.

The Wolf's Serenade
Way out west where desert sands are hot,
By day when winds are dry,
And nights are cool and lighted by
A sparkling midnight sky.

As A child, I slept to serenades
Where desert nights were still,
As wolves cried out their mournful songs
Up on the moonlit hill.

And deep within my growing soul
Their music serenade me,
To haunt the days I'm living now
With years I left behind.

My lonely heart desires for that sound
The wild wolf's serenade,
The serenade that filled my dreams
Where memories are made!
