It's been so long, too long
since I last saw you
but my love for you is still going strong
even as the memories start to fade away...

When I first saw you it was love at first sight
I knew then I'd love you the rest of my life
You soon became my best friend
promising to be my friend 'til the end
When I was with you it felt like a dream come true
I thought maybe you felt it too

We kept in touch for a long time
but I guess now I must've slipped your mind
Now I find myself sitting in the dark
wondering where you are
Images of you start to fade away
I sometimes think that maybe,
I don't know, maybe you were just a dream
