You were the one person who was my friend
You said we'd be friends 'til the end
We hung out whenever we had time
You always treated me kind
There's so many things I admire `bout you
I forget all of my problems whenever I'm with you
Lately I've noticed my heart skips a beat
Every time you walk by me
I think about you all of the time
A picture of you is stuck in my mind
I even see you in my sleep
Every night you're in my dreams
I finally got the nerve to reveal
The way you make me feel
So I wrote a letter telling you
And asked if you felt it to
I just about went crazy
Waiting for the phone to ring
I thought the wait would never end
Until you called and said I was just a friend
I felt as if my world had been torn apart
Cause I'm invisible to your heart
