Teenage Paradise

(This is a song I wrote to the tune of "Gangsta's Paradise" by Coolio)

As I walk through the mall with a bag in my hand
I take a look in my purse, and realize there's nothing left
Cause I've been looking and shopping so long
that every last bit of my allowance is gone
But I ain't never crossed a teen that didn't love it
Just walk past the music store, you know that's unheard of
I'm tired of walking, but there's no stopping
Cause I still have a credit card to charge
I really hate to stop but I gotta go
When they flip the open sign to closed (darn)
But I'll be back as soon as they open again
To shop around and do nothin' but spend spend spend

Chorus
Been spending most their lives
living in a teenage paradise
Been spending most their lives
living in a teenage paradise
Keep spending most our lives
living in a teenage paradise
Keep spending most our lives
living in a teenage paradise

Checking the lastest trends hangin' with my friends
Spending every single dime we can possibly find
Fishing in the fountain for some more money
Getting some looks from people that was kinda funny
I'm a teen aged fool with shopping on my mind
Got my keys in my hand and a gleam in my eye
My parents know nothing's gonna stand in my way
Gotta go to the mall so get out of my way fool
Debt keeps building up on me everyday
Debt collectors visited my parents earlier today
I'm 17 now but will I live to see 18
from the look in my parents eyes I don't know...

Going to the mall on a shopping spree
Spending all my cash to the last penny

(repeat chorus)

From the Gap to Foot Locker, Claires Boutique and Music World
Running back and forth 'til my head starts to whirl
Packages are so high I can't see where I'm going
My arms are overloaded but I still ain't slowin'
There's still over a hundred stores I have yet to visit
I'm a shopaholic and I just can't resist it
I guess tonight I won't come home, gonna sleep out front
So I can be the first in line tomorrow fool!

(repeat chorus)

Going to the mall on a shopping spree
Spending all my cash to the last penny
(repeat)
