This just in...

8-20-03 5:09 pm - Last Monday (the 11th) I went up to Niles, OH to pick up my friend Shanna (the one in the second pic), then we went to Dayton and saw Jeff Timmons, a member of 98 Degrees, perform at Borders bookstore. He only sung one song cause he had laryngitis and they couldn't find the music. I got his autograph on a couple things, including his new solo album, and got a few great pix of him. Personally, I think he is the hottest man alive. If I was straight, I probably would've kindnapped him and brought him home with me. lol
Anyhow, Shanna's been staying here the last 9 days. Well, actually she's spent a couple nights at other peoples houses so far, but she's still driving me up the wall.
In other news, this past Monday (18th) I started my second year of college and I'm already sick of it. The only two classes I look forward to are First Aid (I know, I'm already an EMT, but it should be really easy) and Astronomy. I heard that next year they're gonna add a few new degree programs to the university, including a major in Space Science and minor in Astronomy so I may be changing over to that, I'm not sure. It would be cool to work for NASA. I still want to write though so I may have a minor in Astronomy and Creative Writing. I dunno yet.
Let's see, haven't updated this in a while, what else has happened? Oh yeah, I turned 21 finally, on July 19th. I went to a Billy Ray Cyrus concert that night with my mom and aunt. It was kinda fun, but I'm not a real big fan of his anymore and we were way in the back. I didn't get his autograph either cause he had to leave early. :( Oh well.
Speaking of which, I've started a new hobby of collecting autographs. Only have a few so far, including seven Star Trek actors, Jeff Timmons, Mark Wahlberg, Gallagher, Richard "Dick" Gordon (astronaut) and Rita Rudner. I think that's about it... Not really any huge names so far, but maybe one day. Most I've ordered off eBay, but some I've got in person.

4-29-03 6:45 PM Sunday, the 27th, I went to Dayton, OH to my first Star Trek convention and met Ethan Phillips (Neelix, Voyager) Robert "Bob" Picardo (EMH, Voyager), Robin Curtis (Lt. Saavik, ST III: The Search for Spock), and Richard "Dick" Gordon (real astronaut from Gemini 11 and Apollo 12 missions). It was a blast. Bob and Ethan were absolutely hilarious from the moment they came in the room 'til they were out of ear shot. They did a play at the end that Bob wrote based on their Star Trek characters. The ad libs and bloopers just about had the audience rolling in the isles. As I was going through the line getting autographs I got to talk a little with Robin. She asked if it was my 1st convention and when I said yes she shook my hand and said, "Welcome on board." She seemed surprised when she found out I had drove 3 1/2 hours just to be there and told me she hoped I had a good time and to "drive home safely tonight." She's known for being the most fan friendly at conventions, and I definetly agree.
In other news, this is the last week of class and I'm loaded with make up homework and essays. :( I should be working on it now since it will probably take a long time to get it done. Plus I have a test tomorrow that I need to study for. *sigh* I can't wait 'til finals are over next week and I'm free again 'til August. At least I finally got to sign up for an astronomy class next semester. That should be fun.

1-14-03 8:16 PM My computer was down for over a month the last part of the year, and for the last week I haven't been able to log on cause they changed my user name and didn't even tell me about it. I hope I won't have any more computer problems for a while *knock on wood*. Anyway, I just started back to college Monday. I only have classes on M, W, and every other Friday now. Aside from my algebra teacher being Satan, it should be a better semester this time around. Just hope I can get through math so I won't have to worry about it again. The one class I think I'll really like is intro to physical science. I'm kinda into physics and astronomy now, so I'm looking forward to those sections.

9-1-02 10:46 PM I'm now through with my 2nd week of college and it already feels like I've been there 4 years. Everyone kept saying that college isn't like high school and they were right, it's worse! I dunno if I'm going to make it pass this semester. But, if I do, I'm now considering changing my major to something that will allow me to work for NASA one day. I think it would be cool if I helped create a real Starfleet (from Star Trek) so we can, "seek out new life and new civilations," and, "boldly go where no one has gone before."

7-29-02 6:20 PM Well, not much happening lately. I went to orientation/registration at MSU last week and have my schedule set for the Fall semester. I'm taking Intro to Psychology, Spanish, Biology, Speech *gag*, Intro to Universisty life *rolls eyes*, and World Studies *gag*. At least I got 2 classes I wanted; Psych and Spanish, though they had to stick me in the Honors Spanish class since the reg. one was full. Biology might not be too bad, I hope. During registration, I met this really hot girl, I'm hoping she'll be in my Intro to Uni. life class since all freshmen have to take it. Just hope she got the same teacher as I did.

I also turned the big 20 a couple weeks ago. No more being a teenager. :o( I'm getting so old!

7-1-02 5:31 PM I recieved my EMT-B certificate in the mail yesterday. I am now licensed to wreck--er, I mean save lives. =o) Above is a pic of the patch I recieved that will go on the left shoulder of my uniform if I decide to get a job. The reason the pic looks a little uneven is cause I erased the background and didn't wanna fool with making it any neater. lol I passed my national registry w/a 75%. I think I passed it by 3 questions which means I really have some studying to do before I get a job so I won't get sued... I hope. =o0

6-11-02 10:45 PM I'm happy to say that I passed my state practicals Saturday. =o) I took my national registry today and I think I did good (knock wood). If I passed it was probably a really close call but I have a good feeling about it. I won't find out 'til sometime next month though. Even if I did fail, I could take it again if I could find out where they're testing. Probably cost me another $20 though...

6-6-02 2:32 AM Well, today is my last day of my EMT class. We took our final yesterday and I scored an 82% on it. My avg. for the class is 86 point something percent so I passed! Now I have to get through the state practical exam this Saturday and, if I pass that, I take the national written exam on the 11th. Then it'll be about a month I think before I get my score and, if I pass, my certificate. However I'm not sure if I will be working as an EMT anymore, I may chicken out. I've considered going to college this fall and maybe taking Radiology, but that feild may be a little too boring for me. I still have no idea what to do with my life. I would like a job that I would actually like and pays good, but I don't think a job like that exists for me ...

01-28-02 Oh yeah, forgot to mention yesterday that I got a 24 on my ACTs. Yay! And here I was worried I wouldn't even get a 16 to get into the EMT class. :-D

01-27-02 Well, I started my EMT class at Ashland Tech. last Tuesday (the 22nd). So far all I've learned is CPR, which I already knew from a class I took in middle school. I got the second highest score in the class on the CPR test we took. I only missed two (out of 25). I've only got class twice this week and next week. We rotate between having class three times a week to two times. I think we may even have class four times a week occasionaly. The class lasts two and a half to three hours a day (from noon-3) but it feels like eight hours sometimes.

10-6-01-- Well, not much has been going on in my life lately. The date for the ACT's is Oct 27th at 8 AM. Eek! I'm so not a morning person. I still haven't even gotten around to studying. :o(
Only a few weeks 'til Halloween. I'd love to have a Halloween party or something but can't due to lack of friends. Oh well, I'll just party by myself as usual.

Proud to be an American!
9-12-01 5:58 AM-- As everyone knows by now, yesterday morning there was a terrible act of terrorism against the U.S.. Thousands of people were killed and injured. I, as well as most of the world, am still in shock. I hope that the person or persons responsible will pay the ultimate price for this horrible crime and that there will be no further attacks. My thoughts are with those who lost loved ones in yesterdays tragedy.
Aside from that, I have filled out my ACT form and need to mail it out today. Hopefully I'll do good, but I have yet to get myself to study. I'm am really rusty, esp. in the math section. I'm hoping to start attending Morehead State in Jan.. Once there I have no clue what I'm gonna do though. I thought about majoring in English or Creative Writing but I'm not completely sure yet.

07/27/01-- I GRADUATED! YAHOO!! Actually, I graduated over a month ago on June 1st. I also turned the big 19 last week. Other than that my life's been as boring as ever. I've been looking on the Net for some listings of local classes that might be interesting. Can you believe that I'm actually LOOKING for CLASSES?? Eek! And I just got out of them! But, I don't think there's any interesting classes I can enroll in now within a 200 mile radius of this place. :o/
