Hi! As you probably already know, my name is Randy. In addition to being an oppressed dishwasher, I am also a damn good barista and coffee fanatic. Just love it. In fact, I love it so much I learned HTML just to tell you about it. As this page matures, it will tell about the great and terrible world of coffee. The cultural origins of coffee, its uses (did you know that coffee (and tea!) prevent cavities? Recipes
One product I especially like is Guittard's White Satin syrup. It's a vanilla based white chocolate syrup that's melllow and delicious. These are the drinks I created (with the exeption of the Heaven & Earth, whose credit goes to Todd Blaydes) using this stuff:
Mocha Josephine
This is basically a white chocolate mocha jo.
5 oz. hot brewed coffee
4 oz. steamed milk
1 oz. Guittard White Satin syrup
whipped cream for garnish
Combine ingredients in a 10 oz. stein. Stir. Top with whipped cream & drizzle top with white chocolate syrup.
Heaven & Earth
1 shot espresso
1/2 oz. Guittard White Satin syrup
1/2 oz. caramel topping
7-8 oz. steamed milk
whipped cream for garnish
Pull shot of espresso directly into espresso pitcher containing caramel and white satin. Stir. Pour into 10 oz. stein. Fill with steamed milk. Garnish with whipped cream and drizzle with caramel and white chocolate.
Yin Yang
1 shot espresso
1/2 oz. Guittard White Satin syrup
1/2 oz. chocolate syrup
7-8 oz. steamed milk
whipped cream and cocoa sprinkles for garnish
Pull shot of espresso directly into espresso pitcher containing chocolate syrup and white satin. Stir. Pour into 10 oz. stein. Fill with steamed milk. Garnish with whipped cream, drizzle with white chocolate, and sprinkle with cocoa powder.
