Pots of Gold

We came upon each other,
Very late that night,
One wearing the leprechaun's cloths,
The other using his sight.
I had lost my one gold coin,
And be had lost himself,
And I carried my pot of gold,
And that was all my wealth.

He said he said to me at that time,
That what I had to find,
Was of no significance,
That it would not affect our kind.
He led me to a rainbow,
And to the very end,
And took me to his pot of gold,
As I saw the night-time end.

So soon I was danceing,
Within the fairy ring,
And now I know that Paddy,
Will My good times bring.
