ROCKY II
Since the success of the first movie was so great thre naturally had to be a second. In this movie we saw Rocky retire for Adrian and try to live the good life. Rocky's money soon ran out and the harsh economy of the late 70's took it's toll. In order to support his family Rocky started to help out Mick at the gym. To compound his problems there was the constant taunting by Apollo. Finally, as we all know, Rocky takes up Apollo's challenge. Adrian was very dissapointed over this decision and it affected Rocky. Rocky is finally able to regain the edge when Adrian emerges from her coma and tells Rocky to win.
The fight scene presents us with a fired up Apollo. Rocky barely makes it through the fight as he is outclassed throughout. Rocky's heart and desire lifts him over the top as he was able to fight his way up before the count of ten.
This movie seemed to cap the story of Rocky. It certainlly pleased the audience that Rocky was able to finish his mission from the first movie and become the champ. ROCKY III would present Balboa with a new mission.
