Also surviving: husband, two brothers and two sisters; 47 grandchildren and 99 great grandchildren.She joined the Old Regular Baptist church in 1917

HOPKINS, Wyona was the daughter of the late John and Kate (Adkins) Hopkins; born May 25 1893 and died Aug 9 1956. Married to Andrew Akers in 1912; they had 14 children, one preceded her in death. She joined the Old Regular Baptist Church in 1950.

TUTTLE, Joe Elliott was the son of Tom and Hannah (Collins) Tuttle and was born Mar 9 1884; died Jun 10 1956. He md Florence Tuttle, the dau of W. R. Entham Tuttle on Oct 5 1903. They had 5 boys/7 girls; two boys and four girls survive him; Lester and Lawrence Tuttle, Elizabeth Carter, Emlie Slone, Eva Thorsbury, and Ellie Thornsbury. He was a Deacon at the Caney Church of Old Regular Baptist since June 1956 and a member since 1946.

HALL, Johnnie Boy was born Feb 9 1889 and died Jun 15 1955; he was married Mar 28 1908 to Milley Hall by Rev. W. B. Mullins, they had 11 children; 2 died in infancy. Joined the the Caney Fork Church of Old Regular Baptist Sept 1922.

SLONE, The daughter of Rube Slone and Nance Slone. She was born Dec 6 1882 and died Oct 21 1955. She was from a family of 7, 4/girls and 3 boys, all preceded her in death. She married Preston TERRY about 56 years ago and they had 2 children; Corbet and Elizabeth Terry. She joined the Old Regular Baptist Church, Oct 28 1915.

WICKER, Basil Lee, son of Bee and Rosie Bell Whicker, was born aug 9 1920 . He married Edda BERRY in 1947 and they had one girl/2 boys; his wife had six children. He joined the Old Regular Baptist Church, 1950.

ADKINS, L. Grant was b: at Greasy Creek, Pike Co., Ky on Oct 15 1868 and died on Oct 17 1954, the son of Winwright Adkins. He md Anna Elizabeth (COLEMAN) Admins who d: Apr 7 1949. They left 3 sons, Grady, Sollie and Alvin Adkins; two daughters, Fanny Adkins, and Nan Clark. He was a member of the Old Regular Baptist Church.

JOHNSON, Joel was born Dec 11 1893 and died May 23 1956; the son of Abel Johnson and Linda (ISAAC) Johnson; he married Jane COOK on Mar 30 1911 and they had 3 boys and six girls. His wife died Jul 2 1952; 3 girls died in infancy. He leaves 3 boys and 2 girls, two sisters, one half-sister. BOYD, Andy was born Oct 24 1892 and died Nov 6 1956 at the King's Daughters' Hospital in Ashland, Ky death due to cancer. His wife died May 1954, he leaves 2 boys/1girl; Kellie, and Kessie of Boyd Co., and Mrs. Ermine Smiley of Detroit, Mich; two brothers: and six sisters: William Boyd of Lancer; Mrs. Lee Conn of Harold; Mrs. J. VANDERPOOL, Rev. John was born Jan 8 1882 and died Jan 23 1956, the son of Charlie Vanderpool and Peggie (SHEPARD) Vanderpool. He married Lizzie SEXTON and they had 10 children; his wife and one child, deceased. Later he married Susie BAILEY and they had one girl. He was killed accidentally by a discharged shotgun while out with his dogs. TACKETT, Sie was born Nov 18 1905 and died Dec 18 1955; the son of Greenberry and Mendy (HAMILTON) Tackett who preceded him in death. He then married Rosa HOLT Tackett on Aug 3 1923. He joined the Joppa Church of Old Regular Baptist Sep 1937.

HALL, Albert was the son of Billy Hall and Ritter BOWLING Hall and was born Nov 22 1887 and died Jul 11 1955. He married Lucreasie TACKETT Hall on Jun 5 1905; they had 2 girls/3 boys; the boys preceded him in death. He joiined the Old Joppa Church of Old Regular Baptist Aug 1951.

MOORE, Williard was born Dec 18 1900 and died Sep 1 1955, the son of the late Richard and Pairsie GAYHEART Moore. He married Rebecca STUMBO on Apr 6 1922 and they had 12 children; 4 preceded him in death; living children: Mary Anis, Rosena, Richard, Willie, Pairsie Ella, Lewis Evart, Ethel Sue and Freddie Gail. He joined the Old Regular Baptist Church on Nov 12 1939.

GUNNELS, Tom T. was born Jan 7 1880 in Floyd Co., Ky; the son of George and Sarah PATTON Gunnels. He md Elsie DAMRON Gunnels and they had 12 children. He was a Deacon at the Little Dove Church of Old Regular Baptist.

SLONE, Katie was the dau of Bob Sone and Cassie HUFF Slone, was b: in 1884 and d: Jun 19 1952. She married Henry JACOB on Oct 15 1900 and they had 16 children; 8 boys/8 girls; 2 sons, Orda (died in WWII) and Ellis and 2 girls, Della dn and unknown infant preceded her in death. Leaving; sons: Tavis, Taulbee, Marion, Canton, Columbus and Noah; 6 girls: Manda, Dollie, Delia, Lillie Mae, Bloomie, and Mary. Joined the Old Regular Baptist Church in 1930.

MARTIN, Sol D. was the son of Dial Martin and Elizabeth ALLEN Martin born Jan 7 1893 and died Jun 12 1956. He md Della GAYHEART and they had 8 children; 5 boys and 3 girls living are: Willie E. Martin, Bolton H., Theadore, Louis Bernard, and Elmer Lee (Deceased); girls: Ova Mae Warrens, Madge Moore, and Nancy Fae Bolen. Member of the Bethel Church of Old Regular Baptist.

RAMEY, Margaret of Softshell, Ky died Nov 29 1955 being 70 years old. Left behind her husband, and 6 sons: Mitchell, Troy, Robert, Loy, George, and Kendall all of Knott Co.; 3 girls: Mrs. Daniel Gayheart, and Mrs. Tom Hicks of Knott Co; Mrs. Clifford Hanger of Michigan. member of the Balls Fork Church of Old Regular Baptist.

MOORE, Rev. A. J. was born Feb 15 1877 and died May 16 1956. He was married to Mima Hicks having six children: Edison, Plymouth, Ohio; E. C., Martin, Ky; R. E., Ashland, Ky; Virgie Hughes, Raveswood, WVA; Emma Ousley, Plymouth, Ohio; and Alice Ousley, Hippo, Ky. Minister in the Old Regular Baptist Church.

HALL, Debby was the daughter of William Hall and Mary JOHNSON Hall, born Sept 8 1872 and died Feb 25 1956. She married Willie ISAAC and they had 3 children: Maryland, Alphoretta, Ky; Rosana, Jackson, Ohio; and Mary, Hite, Ky. Willie died in 1896 and the later married Keenis MULLINS and he died 1936. They had no children. Joined teh Joppa Church of Old Regular Baptist Feb 25 1956.

HOWARD, Willie was the son of Brison and Nancy Howard, born Dec 10 1886 being 69 yrs and 8 months old. He md Cynthia CAUDILL in 1906 and they had 8 children: Kelly, Henry Mark, and Dollie Living; 3 boys and one girl preceded him in death. He lived most of his live at Garrett, Floyd Co., Ky. Joined the old Regular Baptist Church in 1950.

SHEPHERD, Laura was born Sep 22 1978 and died at the Lackey Hospital on Dec 1 1954 due to diabetes. She married Bill CRAGER and they had 11 children; Bill and five of the children preceded her in death. She leaves 3 girls/3 boys: Mrs. Perry Ousley, Risner; Mrs. Hayden Allen, Albion, Indiana; Sadie Shepherd, Gunlock; Joe Crager, Gunlock, Jimmie Crager, Gunlock, William Crager, Indiana. COOK, Mary Alice ws the daughter of Rev. Pierce Cook and Florence Cook, both deceased. She was born Aug 5 1878 and died Nov 9 1955; she married Sylvester Lee TRUMAN and they had 3 children: Commodroe, June and Belva. After the death of Sylvester she md Manuel CAUDILL on Apr 28 1900; they had 3 boys/4 girls. One boy died in infancy two died in manhood. She leaves 6 girls: June and Belva; of second marriage: Golda, Ivadell, Thelman and Florence. Manuel moved to Wayland one year before she died and he died one week after they moved there. Joined the Old Regular Baptist Church in 1912.

HALL, Wilburn was the son of Tpton and Polly Jane Hall; born Sep 17 1905 and died at the age of 71. He married Armina WHITE Hall on Sept 17 1905; she died Nov 1 1946 and they had one girl, Lizzie. Later married Mary Evelyn YOUNG Hall having 5 girls/2 boys; and 7 step children.

JONES, Rev. Joe was born Jun 7 1887 and died Sep 25 1956, the son of Nathaniel and Charity FLANEY Jones. He married Catherine LITTLE, they daughter of Richard and Mahala Little on Aug 23 1906. They had 10 childred; 5 preceded him in death. He leaves one daughter and four sons: Mrs. Fanny Adkins, Columbus, OH; Perry Jones, Virgie, Ky; Estill Jones, Summerville, Mass; Willie Jones, Cleveland, Ohio; and Sidney Jones, last known address was Washington, D. HAMILTON, Martha the daughter of Tom and Peggy Hamilton. Married to Green JONES. She was nearly 95 years old when she died. Two half-brothers living: Sie Hamilton and Tom Hamilton, Jr.; One half sister, Renie Hamilton. Joined the Samaria Church of Old Regular Baptist Jul 1916.

AKERS, Mousie was born May 15 1879 and died May 2 1954, she married Grant HAMILTON they were married 18 yrs and 6 months when he was killed. Later she married Roe HALL and they had one son, Webster Hall. She leaves one brother, Webster Akers, one sister; Monia Akers Stuard and her son Webster Hall. Joined the Old Regular Baptist Church, Apr 24 1915.

BELCHER, Aggie was born Jul 7 1883 at Blaze Branch on Shelby Creek, Pike Co., Ky, the daughter of Levi and Peggy BEVINS Belcher. She died on Jun 15 1956; she md Hie TACKETT Oct 1900 and they had 5 boys 4 girls. Two sons, Davy, and one infant preceded her in death as did her husband. Joined the Pikeville Church of Old Regular Baptist Jul 1940.

DAVIS, Dona was born Jun 23 1907 and died Sep 1 1955. He left behind his wife, Mae HOPKINS Davis, 3 daughters: Mrs. Ruby Blackburn, Pikeville, Ky; Mrs. Marie Damron, Columbus, Ohio; Mrs. Helen Damron, Yeager, Ky. One Brother, Jeff Davis, Pikeville, Ky; two sisters: Mrs. Causby Wiler, Yeager, Ky; and Mrs. Ida Smith, Virgie Ky. Member of the Old Regular Baptist Church.

DAVIS, Mildred Marie born Jul 31 1930 and died May 29 1956. Married Thomas DAMRON. She leaves her husband, her mother, Mrs. Mae Davis; two sisters, Mrs. Ruby Blackburn and Mrs. Helen Damron; and her grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Jay Hopkins and Mr. Will Davis of Yeager, Ky.

HALL, Velva was the daughter of A. J. Hall and Katherine MARTIN Hall. She was born on Dec 22 1892 living 62 years. She married Hardy KEEL in 1916 and they had 4 children; one died in infancy. She leaves her husband, 3 children, 3 sisters, one brother and one half sister and two half brothers.

OSBORNE, Jesse was the son of Cleveland Osborne and Rebecca TACKETT Osborne both survived him. He was born Nov 7 1924 and died Mar 25 1956. He married Katheline Moe MIALER, and they had 6 children: Mary Ellen 9; Jesse Jr. 8, Dennis 6; Robert 4; Charlotte 3; and Rex Allen 7 months. He leaves 9 bothers adn 4 sisters: Steve, Newton, Emitt, forest, Baxter, Cleveland, Jr., David, Hiram, and Robert; Mrs. George Burke, Mrs. Roy Mullins, Mrs. Etsel Wicker and Mrs. Robert Waggoner; American 18 months, and Montana 11 years deceased. He served in the U.S. Army in WWII. Member of the Little Jewel Church of Old Regular Baptist.

KELLEY, Ellen was the daughter of Marshall Kelley and Margaret BAKER Kelley. She was born Jan 1 1872 and died Mar 28 1956; she married Jim ELKINS, Jul 1910 and they had 2 girls/1 boy. She was a member of the Elizabeth Church of Old Regular Baptist for over 61 years.

JOHNSON, Joe was born Jan 27 1892 and died Nov 13 1955; the son of Abel and Linda Johnson. He married Liddie CHILDERS in 1908 and they had 9 children. TACKETT known as Flock Tackett on Dec 17 1908 and they had 16 children; five preceded her in death and her husband. She leaves her mother, 3 sisters, one brother 10 dau, one son. She joined the Enterprise Church of Old Regular Baptist Feb 3 1915.

RIFFE, Sarah Ann was born Feb 18 1868 and died May 29 1942; she married Floyd SHORT and they had one boy and one girl. Later she married Gabe RIFFE and they had 4 boys and 2 girls. She joined the Bethel Church of Old Regular Baptist.

CHANEY, Lottie was born Jul 4 1881 and died Sep 17 1954; the daughter of Jonathan and Ibby Chaney. She married T. J. JUSTICE in 1896 they had 8 girls/4 boys.
