~*Forever Or Never*~
Two stallions meet on either sides of a 4 foot wide rift in the ground. An elegant silver stallion stands regally on the right. His eyes are calm and his stance is powerful. Around his neck hangs a blue crystal. He is backed by a giant forest of the deepest emerald green. The light shines brillantly behind him, making his main and tail look like strands of gold. On the opposite side of the rift is a black robust stallion. His nostrils are flared as he paws the ground impatiantly. Behind this dark stallion is an omunious mountain. The flat peak hangs over the dreary territory and drips with snow. The rocks are hard grey stones that light has never caressed. His neck is decorated with a ruby crystal. As the two grow closer, the crystals of peace and war pulsate and eminate a light.
*snorts* So, that's what you want?
What other choice do I have brother?
Fight me! *stomps the ground* Are you that weak?
I'd really rather not. *takes a step forward* Please try to understand. I don't want power, I only want peace.
Your policy of pacifism disgusts me. If that's what you really want then I can't change it, but mark my words dear brother, I will have that crystal.
Not while I stand on this side of the chasm. You have your crystal. What more do you want?
*whinnies* You think this is enough? I'll show you enough. Someday you'll see.
*glares* You wouldn't dare. You have your share of the land and mother's crystal. *tosses head* You know you're just like her.
*tosses a bite* Watch it! Don't talk with such disrespect. She was a grand ruler. *bobs head* Father was too soft. He was pitiful and it led to his destruction.
*jerks head* Not so!
Oh? I was under the impression he died under those beliefs.
*rearing and pawing the ground* If that's all you have to say about our father then I'd just as leave. Your impudence and immaturity isn't good for this crystal nor my health.
*nodding to the crystal* Just remember it's mine brother and I will have it. Don't think your death will stop me. Your blood will be stained on that crystal as well and I will have my reward......
The black stallion reared and with a sharp toss he wheeled around and galloped off to the mountain. His image was soon lost in the dark mist which shrouded the base. The silver stallion stood watching long after the other had left. Silently he turned and entered the shade of the forest.

Long ago a kingdom stood in harmony and peace. Two rulers had their children married and thus united the worlds of dark and light. A daughter of deepest ebony and a pure white stallion were married. As the two were married, each was given a crystal from their respective kingdom. The mare was given a ruby to preside over her world with her mate. The stallion was given a sapphire of the deepest blue from his land which gave him the ability to rule over his world with his queen. All stood well for 100 years......
UNTIL...........
The royal family had two sons, twins of different colors. The silver son was named Alpha and the darker was christened Omega. The birth of the conflicting colors was an omen of bad luck to come. Soon the destruction began. The queen favored her darker son, and the king favored the silver. Favortisim spread to the kingdoms and once again war broke out. The queen led her army against the king. He refused to fight while his soilders gave their lives, upholding pacifism to the very end. The battle left the two leaders on their sides, gasping for breath. Alpha and Omega rushed to the aids of their beloveds while the sky grew dark. The king gave Alpha his sapphire which was stained with his blood on one side. The queen gave her bloodstained ruby to Omega. Both colts were told that if together, the crystals held the power of immortality..........
