A visit to Kothi is incomplete without tasting the spicy and chatpata chaats at the Gokul Chaat Bhandar located just opposite the row of bookshops set up against the high walls of the University College for Women. A small outlet it is, but the menu is varied and palatable. For a mere Rs. 10 a plate, you can savor the hot, delectable ragada chaat, samosa chaat, dahi puri, sev puri, pani puri, cut mirchi garnered with thinly sliced onions and a drop of lime juice, bhel puri, dahi wada and the list goes on. Samosas, kachoris and mirchi bajjis are sold like hot cakes here. The place is forever crowded. Never mind if you don't get a place to stand and eat, you can always encroach upon the road or the neighboring shop. The aroma of the chaats is enough to tickle the taste buds of the passers-by too!
